GOAL: Preston 0-1 Coventrypublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2023

    Haji Wright (35 mins)

Excellent play from Coventry who break down the right hand side.

Matt Godden collects and shoots across goal but his strike is brilliantly saved by the Preston keeper Freddie Woodman.

But it lands for Haji Wright who pokes home the rebound.

It might have been offside but the flag stays down.

    Preston will be furious.

  2. RED CARD: Barry Bannan (Sheff Wed)published at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2023

Not ideal for the bottom side.

Sheffield Wednesday captain Barry Bannan is sent off for the first time since March 2016.

The Scot is given his marching order for a last man foul on Jason Knight after he'd been played into trouble by his goalkeeper Cam Dawson.

Sunderland have been much the better team so far, dominating midfield and pinning Swansea back in their own half.

The best chance so far has fallen to Nazariy Rusyn, who fired wide having been put through by Jobe Bellingham.

Jack Clarke has also had a shot saved for Sunderland, for whom an opening goal feels like a matter of time.

    West Brom 1-0 Hull City

    Sanny Rudravajhala
    Reporting for 5 Live Sport

Easy as you like for Jed Wallace with a cool side foot finish.

I spent some time with Hull manager Liam Rosenior and he told me he doesn’t want his players to be afraid of making mistakes and to try and play the ball from the back. Well, that’s exactly what’s happened at The Hawthorns.

A loose ball from Jean Michel Seri after being given the ball from the keeper just outside the area and Wallace is teed up for his second of the season.

    West Brom 1-0 Hull City

The hosts have got their tails up now and they're on the hunt for a second.

Grady Diangana, who has scored in his past two games, looks to make it three in three but his shot is blocked.

    Hull City on the ropes.

    Preston 0-0 Coventry

Ooof the Coventry keeper Ben Wilson breathes a sigh of relief.

His attempt to save a strike on goal sees the ball slip through his hands.

But luckily it rolls out for a corner.

My word the ball was like a bar of soap.

  11. goal

    Jay Stansfield (13 mins)

Jay Stansfield scores his fifth of the season and Birmingham are on top.

Cool as a cucumber he rounds the Ipswich keeper Václav Hladký who probably should have done better, to open the scoring.

    Swansea 0-0 Sunderland

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

There aren't many longer trips in the Championship than Sunderland to Swansea.

Speaking to a few of those who've made the journey, there seems to be a good deal of optimism around Sunderland at the moment.

They're playing attractive football, close to the play-off places and the fans are enjoying what they've seen at the Stadium of Light this season.

Swansea have been a little patchier under Michael Duff, whose more direct approach has taken some getting used to after the patient, possession-based style of his predecessor Russell Martin.

Having won at Blackburn last time out, though, the Swans are only five points adrift of the top six.

    Millwall 0-0 Southampton (15:00 GMT)

    Aaron Paul
    BBC Radio 5 Live commentator

It is now over two weeks since Gary Rowett and Millwall parted company and yet supporters are still waiting for the signs of white smoke from The Den.

Names have been banded about, with plenty of EFL experience on the shortlist. But this is a big appointment for chairman James Berylson. It is his first major decision since taking control of the football club following the sudden passing of his father John.

The need for a solid football philosophy and someone who can harness The Den's electric atmosphere is key, and is something that was arguably lacking throughout Rowett's tenure.

Nathan Jones seems to be the frontrunner, the former Luton manager is looking for the right match, and there is a feeling things could be close. What we do know is if he gets the fanbase on his side success will be quick to follow.
