    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

This is some response from 10-man Blackburn.

They're standing in the way of everything Norwich throw at them with blocks, headers and tackles.

Marcelino Nunez pokes a shot just wide from 18 yards for the home side.

Time running out for them to set up what I am contractually obliged to call a grandstand finish.

We should be applying a lot more pressure than we are.

We need to give it a little bit more width.

    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

    Norwich win yet another corner.

Marcelino Nunez bends it straight out of play before the near post.

    Not what they need.

Premyslaw Placheta has looked really lively for Norwich since coming on down their left.

Admittedly Blackburn have been a man light since he's been on the field but still.

The home side are piling on the pressure, the away side are standing up to it manfully.

    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

There was some* chat earlier about how Blackburn don't really have a striker.

It's not been much of an issue today of course but now they're down to 10 men they can't change their way of playing and start going long to get out.

    *A lot.

    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

    Ouch.

Blackburn goalkeeper Leopold Whalstedt does himself a mischief as he comes for a routine cross but clashes with Jon Rowe.

He's ok to carry on but that's not the first time today he's looked suspect from a cross.

    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

Norwich are well on top now as you'd expect but Blackburn still carry a threat.

They win a free-kick in a decent area and Sammie Szmodics stands it up for James Hill.

There are six Norwich players in the box and two Rovers ones and somehow he's unmarked.

Fortunately for them he loops his header wide.

They are going to have to dig deep now and defend with their lives.

I don't know how that chance didn't go in.

They have just got to try and keep the ball, but you never know with Rovers. They will still try and play their way.

    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

Blackburn have a VERY young side.

This is going to be a real test for the 10 men if Norwich can get a goal back in the next few minutes.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Norwich 0-3 Blackburn

Joe Rankin-Costello can not carry on and Lewis Travis is on in his place for the away side.

Meanwhile, Blackburn gaffer Jon Dahl Tomasson is booked for saying a bit too much to the fourth official.

Norwich are knocking on the door now.

Christian Fassnacht, one of the four subs on for Norwich, forces a top save from Leopold Wahlstedt in the Rovers goal.

It's brave, but he has to go for it.

It's certainly injected a bit of spark straightaway.

    Norwich make a QUADRUPLE sub.

It's gonna take me ages to say who has gone off and who has come on isn't it...

    Half a chance.

We've still got 35 minutes to play here.

Norwich have got to throw the kitchen sink at the 10 men now haven't they?

It's sloppy defending in the first place, but he tried to slide in and get the ball.

It's a very close call, but he doesn't seem to reach it.

It gives Norwich a glimmer of hope with most of the second half to play.

    NOW then!

    Well, well, well.

Scott Wharton is sent off for a last man foul on Onel Hernandez.

He says he got the ball but there's no VAR in the Championship and he's off.

Anther magnificent goal and it all comes down to Tyrhys Dolan.

A fantastic move by everyone and great desire by the players to get up to support.

The next goal is vital when you're 2-0 up. At 3-0 it's very difficult for teams to come back from that.

    Sammie Szmodics (48 mins)

    Game over.

    Lovely, lovely goal from Rovers.

    Terrible, terrible defending from Norwich.

The away side clear a free-kick and spring a counter attack.

It looks to have stalled a little on the edge of the area but Tyrhys Dolan is given time to pick his head up and pick out a pass to Andrew Moran and he squares it for Sammie Szmodics to tap in at the back stick from a tight angle.

Two for him now, three for Blackburn and probably zero chance Norwich get back in this match.

Carl: It’s such a shame we don’t have Brereton Diaz anymore - he would have put away a lot of our chances. Still happy with the result so far. Long way to go yet!

Chile international Ben Brereton Diaz left Blackburn for La Liga side Villarreal in the summer and is yet to open his account for his new side.
