  3. goal

GOAL: Cardiff 1-1 Norwichpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2023

    Josh Bowler (39 mins)

The Norwich goal only seems to have stung Cardiff into action and their pressure has told as Josh Bowler gets the equaliser!

Callum Robinson is the architect as he holds off two defenders before finding a cross which picks out Josh Bowler at the far post who does the rest.

It had all started so well for Norwich!

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Leicester City

Seny Dieng comes up with another save for Middlesbrough.

This time he is at full stretch to deny Jannik Vestergaard. A big intervention, that.

    Leeds 2-0 Plymouth

Plymouth go on a rare foray forward and win a corner.

They go short from it and lose it without putting the home goal under any pressure. A waste.

The Pilgrims need to make sure this doesn't get worse before the break. They have goals in their team but it would be a LONG way back from 3-0 down.

League leaders Portsmouth are 1-0 up against Charlton through Abu Kamara who has cracked in a volley from 20 yards out into the left hand corner.

A James Collins penalty has given Derby the lead against Barnsley.

And Cheltenham have equalised against Wigan thanks to a Liam Sercombe penalty to make it 1-1.

    Hull City 0-0 Huddersfield

Not too much doing in this all-Yorkshire clash.

Jaden Philogene forces a decent save from Huddersfield goalkeeper Lee Nicholls from range and Jean Michael Seri thumps an effort wide from the resulting corner.

  8. goal

GOAL: Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Millwallpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2023

Murray Wallace has given Joe Edwards the ideal start to life as Millwall boss!

He makes the most of some poor defending from a corner, thumping home a header after finding himself unmarked.

Just minutes after hitting the post, Ellis Simms almost set Matt Godden up for Coventry.

    Cardiff 0-1 Norwich

Hearts in mouths for Norwich fans straight after going in front as Cardiff want a penalty after Josh Bowler goes down in the box under Przemyslaw Placheta's challenge.

    Cardiff 0-1 Norwich

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

There is a long way to go yet, but David Wagner must be delighted with what he has witnessed so far at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Wagner needs a win after four successive defeats - and eight in the last 11 Championship games - and his team are on course to deliver.

After a couple of nervy moments in the opening stages, Norwich have grown into this contest, and lead thanks to Christian Fassnacht's tap-in at a set-piece.

For the moment, the contingent of travelling Norwich fans in one corner of this ground are happier than they have been for some time.

    The Whites are flying!

Moments after the Championship's player of the month for October Crysencio Summerville has a goal chalked off for offside the home side do make it 2-0.

They win the ball high up and the ball is fed into Joel Piroe who shows the kind of finishing we've come to expect from him.

    Christian Fassnacht (22 mins)

    Canaries lead!

Sara had gone close a couple of times without reward but the Norwich pressure tells as Kenny McLean flicks a corner on towards the back post where Christian Fassnacht arrives right on cue to tap in.

David Wagner breathes a sigh of relief as he watches his side made a positive start.

Long way to go though, especially for a team in Norwich's poor form.

    Conor Chaplin

    They've turned it around!

Ipswich forward Conor Chaplin has his sixth of the season from close range for the Championship's top scorers.

Exactly what boss Kieran McKenna will have wanted from his charges after they fell behind early on in this one.

Forget the floodlights. Enzo Maresca's bright white trainers will be enough to illuminate the Riverside after half-time.

Not too much bright from his side in the first 15 minutes. All three defenders guilty of some clumsy fouls in dangerous positions. Boro yet to make it count though.
