You doubt that Michael O'Neill has ever got what he would consider his starting XI out on the pitch in this campaign at all.
The injury list just kept going on and on and especially to experienced players.
I feel for the players and I feel for the manager as this campaign never got off the ground from day one.
Robin Lod (88 mins)
Sometimes you just have to applaud.
Teemu Pukki has so much space on the right as Northern Ireland pushed forward.
He cuts inside and shapes to shoot, but spots the run of Robin Lod. He plays an inch-perfect pass to Lod, who nips in and scores a fourth from close range.
Pukki may not have the legs he once did but he's shown two absolute moments of class.

Five to go.

West Ham youngsters Michael Forbes and Callum Marshall are coming on for the final six minutes.
It's a debut for Forbes, which is a nice moment for him.
Isaac Price and Trai Hume come off.

Another two changes for the hosts.
Lucas Lingman and Noah Pallas come on with eight minutes to play.
Joel Pohjanpalo, who scored the opener, and Nikolai Alho, who won the penalty, make way.

I don't like the system that we play.
I may be wrong, but the way I look at it we have been doing this the whole way through the group and have got nowhere.
I would just love to see us try something different.
Finland 3-0 Northern Ireland
Daniel Ballard is again the furthest man forward and he chests the ball to get it under control before an acrobatic effort goes over the top.
That would have been some goal.
Finland 3-0 Northern Ireland
Brodie Spencer comes on for Jordan Thompson.
Finland 3-0 Northern Ireland
Conor Washington looks to pull one back but his deflected effort is straight at the keeper.

He's not the player he was, but if you get him inside the 18-yard box he will finish.
A lovely one-two and a superb finish, Hazard had no chance there.
Finland 3-0 Northern Ireland
What Northern Ireland would give for a striker with that clinical edge.
That's his first chance of the night and he made it count.
Teemu Pukki (74 mins)
Three goals and you would assume three points for the Finns.
Pukki skips inside two players with his first touch. That gives him a yard of space and he curls a superb effort into the top corner.
Finland 2-0 Northern Ireland
Goalscorer Daniel Hakans and Rasmus Schuller are the next to be replaced.
Robin Lod and Inter Miami's Robert Taylor are the men to come on.

We're crying out for a bit of creativity in midfield. I think Shea Charles would have made a big difference in there, but unfortunately he's not here.
Finland 2-0 Northern Ireland
The corner comes to nothing.
Finland 2-0 Northern Ireland
Isaac Price plays in a low cross and the sliding Tenho just does enough to put off Conor Washington, who half pulls out of it and can't get to the ball.
Northern Ireland have the corner.
Finland v Northern Ireland (17:00 GMT)
Finland are happy to knock the ball about, exactly like a team who have a two-goal lead.
Trai Hume loves tackle and goes through the back of Kamara, earning Finland a free-kick and the Sunderland defender a telling off.

Since Magennis has come on, he hasn't had a ball to deal with.
