  1. McLeish's wild journey for McSaucepublished at 19:30 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Scotland v Norway (19:45)

    Scott McTominay love-in, anyone?

Doesn't bear thinking about now, I know, but there was a time of uncertainty over whether the Man Utd midfielder would turn out in front of the Tartan Army.

Determined to ensure he'd be racking up caps at Hampden rather than Wembley, then Scotland boss Alex McLeish made the trip to Manchester to meet him.

What followed was a journey of being flung off trains, heavy snow and being told he was a no-show at a hotel.

All of that for a bottle of McSauce...

  2. Scotland have 'massive desire' to 'finish on high'published at 19:27 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

It's all about the party tonight for most in the stands, but Callum McGregor says Scotland have a "massive desire" to finish their successful campaign strongly.

"It's a night for them to celebrate," he said. "But the desire to finish off the campaign well is massive. It's been a brilliant campaign, the players are so proud to play for the country.

"I think you can see that in the performances, what they've given on the pitch, and hopefully we'll have a brilliant night tomorrow.

"The supporters will come in big numbers and big voice, it's a perfect recipe for what should be a good night and everybody in that camp will aim to finish on a high."

The Fussballliebe - meaning 'love of football' - will get an outing at Hampden tonight.

This is the official Euro 2024 ball, one we'll become very familiar with when John McGinn leathers in the winner in the final next summer.

You can listen along with the Sportsound team tonight.

They're live from Hampden right now on BBC Radio Scotland.

You can bash the play button at the top page as well.

  5. Scotland seeding 'doesn't concern' Clarkepublished at 19:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Scotland v Norway (19:45)

Steve Clarke doesn't care about seedings, but I do - and so should you.

Tonight's result, and plenty of others, will have a say in which pot Scotland are placed in for December's Euro 2024 draw.

As it stands, they seem to be in pot 3 but can leap up one by beating Norway by two goals. Certainly not impossible.

    Scotland v Norway (19:45)

Still can't help but have a wee chuckle every time you see this table. It's wild really.

It can still get even better as well. Scotland can finish the night top of the group. Aye, it's unlikely - but it's possible.

Steve Clarke's boys would of course need to beat Norway while Georgia would need to somehow beat Spain on their home turf.

  7. No Haaland or Odegaard for Norwaypublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Scotland v Norway (19:45)

There's no Erling Haaland or Martin Odegaard, who have both bottled it. Jokes, obviously.

Norway are also without Sevilla goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, FC Copenhagen defender Birger Meling and Villarreal forward Alexander Sorloth.

A name that'll stand out will be Kris Ajer. The former Celtic defender starts at centre-back.

    Scotland XI

This was the team you lot picked on our online selector.

Not a millions miles away, is it? But the majority wanted Lawrence Shankland in from the start and he's on the bench again.

Is the Hearts striker unlucky after scoring that late equaliser in Georgia?

  9. No place for Shankland as Brown starts up toppublished at 19:07 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2023

    Scotland v Norway (19:45)

Okay, that's a bit of a shock. Jacob Brown makes his first start for Scotland tonight.

The Luton forward is one of four changes to the XI that kicked off in Georgia on Thursday.

Jack Hendry, Kenny McLean and Stuart Armstrong also come in as Ryan Porteous, Billy Gilmour, Lyndon Dykes and Ryan Christie all drop out.

Still no place in the starting line-up for Lawrence Shankland.

Covid consigned us to our living rooms the last time these lads took Scotland to a major tournament.

The Tartan Army will be making up for that tonight, and so they should.

    Don't waste a minute, folks.
