  1. Clement sees Rangers team 'growing'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2023

    FT: Rangers 3-1 Dundee

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "Whoever is playing, whoever comes in, everybody's working hard for the team.

"It's a deserved victory. Even with 10 we were the team that created the best chances in the second half. The team is growing to become a team, to have the right mentality, to do the right things together."

Clement was booked for dissent after Rangers had a first-half Todd Cantwell 'goal' ruled out but revealed he later apologised to referee Kevin Clancy.

"With the disallowed goal, I didn't understand why the whistle is blown that fast for a duel that is clear duel," he said. "So, there was no foul. It is better to let play go on."

Rangers face Real Betis in Thursday's Europa League match in Spain then take on Aberdeen in next Sunday's Viaplay Cup final.

"More and more players are competing," the Belgian said. "We're going to need everybody on Thursday, on Sunday and the weeks after. We're going to go really hard to get success in the next two games."

  9. FULL-TIME Rangers 3-1 Dundeepublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2023

Rangers move to within five points of Premiership leaders Celtic with a comfortable comeback win despite playing the second half with 10 men.

Amadou Bakayoko's early close-range finish for Dundee was cancelled out within 15 minutes by a stunning Cyriel Dessers strike.

A James Tavernier penalty and a thundering Abdallah Sima header had Rangers comfortable before Jose Cifuentes was sent off for a stamp.

But, despite some nervous moments, the hosts stretched their winning streak at Ibrox over Dundee to 16 games.

    Livingston 0-1 Hibernian

No penalty, as Mo Sangare is ruled offside.

Why the referee had to go over to the monitor to check an offside in that situation isn't too clear at the moment.

    More VAR confusion.

  11. FULL-TIME - Aberdeen 2-1 Heartspublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2023

What a big result for Barry Robson and Aberdeen.

Goals from Bojan Miovski and Leighton Clarkson in the second half cap a great comeback.

It's the first time in 24 league matches the Dons have won a game from behind.

Despite Lawrence Shankland's seventh goal of the Premiership campaign, Hearts lose an eighth game in a row at Pittodrie.

    Rangers 3-1 Dundee

    So close for Dujon Sterling.

Rangers' substitute defender fires a powerful effort from the edge of the penalty box, it strikes the far post and Abdallah Sima is unable to score on the rebound.

    Livingston 0-1 Hibernian

A huge chance for that late Livingston equaliser.

Mo Sangare gets in behind and there's plenty of Hibs bodies to get in the way.

But did it hit off a hand? VAR check ongoing...

A massive three points for St Mirren, who controlled the game from start to finish.

Victory for Stephen Robinson’s men sees them climb up to third.

The hosts took the lead through a Ryan Leak own goal, before Jonah Ayunga grabbed a well deserved goal of his own after firing underneath Ross Laidlaw from outside the box.

Ross County, who remain in eighth, put in a lacklustre performance throughout in Paisley.

Despite a 91st-minute equaliser, the pressure remained on Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell as his side drew with St Johnstone and made it 13 Scottish Premiership games without a win.

After Bevis Mugabi's own-goal, it looked like Motherwell were headed for the eighth loss in 12 games but Mika Biereth's dramatic late header ensured a point for the hosts.

With Aberdeen's victory over Hearts, Motherwell drop to 10th and St Johnstone to 11th, with both five points clear of bottom-side Livingston.
