    Motherwell 0-0 St Johnstone

Is that a chance? Can we call that a chance? Tony Gallacher crosses low towards the back post and Liam Kelly palms it out to Graham Carey. He tries to rasp one at goal but doesn't catch all of it, and Liam Kelly holds.

That's the first St Johnstone shot by my count.

    Cyriel Dessers

Some finish from Cyriel Dessers - and Ibrox breaths a sigh of relief.

The much-maligned Nigerian striker has a right-foot drive blocked, but a swing of his left sends it flashing high into the far roof of the net.

Dundee's shock lead only lasted 15 minutes.

    Lawrence Shankland

The ex-Don comes back to haunt his old club again.

Alex Cochrane's corner is swung to the back post, and Lawrence Shankland runs off Graeme Shinnie to nod into the net.

It's his fifth goal involvement in his past five games against Aberdeen.

    Livingston 0-0 Hibernian

Livingston continue to be the team in the ascendancy.

Just as he did at Easter Road at the start of the season, wing-back James Penrice is getting a lot of joy down the left. His ball in eventually breaks to Sean Kelly, whose strike is deflected behind.

    St Mirren 0-0 Ross County

An early change for the hosts as Caolan Boyd-Munce picks up a knock. Keanu Baccus takes the Northern Irishman's spot in midfield.

Aberdeen spring into life and get forward. Jonny Hayes' cross eventually falls for Jamie McGrath, but his shot is blocked.

    Rangers 0-1 Dundee

Dundee have a spring in their step as they look to protect their lead.

Remember, Tony Docherty's side have arrived at Ibrox unbeaten in three games on the road.

That Amadou Bakayoko goal (pictured below) is only their fifth at Rangers' stadium since their last victory there in March 2001, since when they have lost 15 games in a row, conceding 45 goals in the process.

    St Mirren 0-0 Ross County

Even clash so far in Paisley with neither side in full control.

Jonah Ayunga had stung the fingers of Ross Laidlaw with a strong effort from the edge of the box not long before Ross County's Jordan White heads over up the other end.

    Aberdeen 0-0 Hearts

There's a slip at the back from Aberdeen, and Alex Lowry picks up, but his long-range shot cuts the grass as it goes straight to Kelle Roos.

    Motherwell 0-0 St Johnstone

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Fir Park

The players have yet to do anything to get them excited but there's a constant (and literal) banging of the drum from the Motherwell 'ultras' in the far corner of the ground, near the corner flag away to my right.

They're doing their best to lift their side, with confidence clearly fragile after more than three months without a win. The small posse of Saints fans are quiet by comparison but their side has settled well, forced a couple of early free-kicks and a corner, and they are doing all they can to unsettle the home team.

It's not been a great game so far, but Hearts have edged it. They've had one tame header on target.

    Aberdeen have offered nothing.

I'm blooming exhausted just watching Stephen Robinson on the touchline.

Waving him arms about, signalling non-stop to his players and bouncing about like jumping bean. He has not stopped.

Surely there's a better way of staying warm...

    Livingston 0-0 Hibernian

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Scotland at the Tony Macaroni Arena

Livingston have certainly started much brighter than visitors Hibernian and David Martindale will be very happy with the application and determination in the opening 10 minutes.

Nick Montgomery must be concerned at the number of balls flying into the box from the right-hand side.

  15. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2023

Not a great deal to report from West Lothian.

Livingston not looking as short on confidence as you might expect from a team on such a miserable run of form. The hosts getting forward well in the opening stages.

    Motherwell 0-0 St Johnstone

In the first few minutes, Motherwell's players are pressing, harrying and snapping into tackles. Just the kind of start manager Stuart Kettlewell would have wanted. Can they add some quality to their endeavour and make good decisions from hereonin? That's the challenge for them here at Fir Park this afternoon.

The rain is whirling around Pittodrie just now, the conditions look foul for a game of football.

Not much to report in the opening exchanges, a pretty cagey start to things, Hearts have probably settled the better.

    Amadou Bakayoko

Dundee should have scored seconds ago - and this time they have.

From the corner following Jack Butland's save from Lyall Cameron, the ball falls to Amadou Bakayoko and the striker stabs home from four yards.

The visitors were beaten by Rangers 5-0 on their own patch earlier in the season but lead in Glasgow.
