    How's that not gone in?

A wide free-kick is met by Marc Roca, who just seems to run the ball into Jack Butland at close range.

The rebound hits Ben Davies' arm. No penalty and rightly so.

    I'm surprised at the change.

I wonder if Cifuentes is injured because I think it's the best half of football he's had at Rangers.

The home support were slowly beginning to turn against their own team prior to finding their second equaliser.

It was a truly awesome opening 45 minutes, one you couldn't take your eyes off the game for a second.

The 2,500 or so travelling fans look as if they have enjoyed Seville so far and if the Rangers players can somehow find a way to win this match they will certainly enjoy their evening here.

    Derek McInnes

That's probably Cyriel Dessers' best 45 minutes for Rangers.

It was an excellent finish through the goalkeeper's legs.

    FT: Aberdeen 2-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Aberdeen manager Barry Robson: "I've said it before, we've not got what we deserved from what we've put into this European campaign. We've only lost two games and we lost one of them here in the 92nd minute and we could have picked up a point in Frankfurt.

"They have performed so well and I am just glad we got that win tonight because we deserved to be on more points than we were in Europe.

"I know people have given us some stick, and rightly so at times, but it's not easy fighting on three fronts and I think we've done it really well.

"It's the emotion that takes it out of you. We scored 10 goals in Europe. That is not easy to do against that quality of opposition. I am really proud of the players for performing the way they've performed. That's as good a result as Aberdeen have had here in a long, long time.

"The boys that came in tonight were excellent, it was the same in Helsinki so I'm really, really pleased. We got some other players on at the right time tonight to give us a helping hand.

"The boys should be proud. I said to them when you are a football player, playing in European group stages is something you'll always look back on. It's what I always look back on, they were the best times for me. I'm really pleased for them to get that win."

  16. 'Rangers have another goal in them'published at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2023

    HT: Real Betis 2-2 Rangers

    Rory Loy
    Former Rangers striker on Sportsound

I think Jose Cifuentes has done really well and young Ross McCausland has been very positive at times.

Cyriel Dessers gets an assist, which he probably doesn't mean but it's an assist nonetheless.

I don't think Sam Lammers is offering anything and I think he is lucky that Rangers do not have any other midfielders at the moment.

That being said, Rangers do still look like they have another goal in them.

So Sparta are currently top of the group, they're surely through with their 3-0 lead in Limassol.

Betis currently sit second while Rangers are third.

The Ibrox side need to win, basically. If not, it's the Conference League after Christmas.
