  2. 'The penny has to drop but we'll learn'published at 22:24 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January

    FT: Hearts 3-2 Dundee

Dundee boss Tony Docherty tells BBC Sportsound: "Gutted, the level of performance was top against a good side at Tynecastle. It was exactly the way we wanted to execute the game plan.

"It was important the boys carried out that instruction in the second half, but we make a poor decision to lose the first and second goals.

"We've been undone. The penny has to drop that we have to be more resilient. It's a learning thing and we will learn from this."

    Prem table

Hearts stretch their lead in third, while Dundee miss the chance to go level on points with sixth-placed Hibs.

Still a big chunk of the season to play, but it's difficult to see how a team will make up eight points on Hearts in this form.

Dundee, meanwhile, can absolutely push for the top half based on their first-half showing especially.

  6. 'The performance turned into a really good one'published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January

    FT: Hearts 3-2 Dundee

Hearts boss Steven Naismith tells BBC Sportsound: "It wasn't good enough until 45. The second half was good, the performance turned into a really good one and we win the game which is brilliant.

"We've progressed from where the squad has been. This stadium can be a real asset.

"The demand is high, you can't turn up and expect it to be good. We were too slow. It played right into Dundee's hands. It took an 18-year-old in MacAulay Tait to come on and dictate the game.

"Alan Forrest and Jorge Grant were quality when they came on, Yutaro Oda comes on and scores."

Naismith adds he doesn't feel Alex Cochrane and Beni Baningime's injuries are serious ones.
