Liverpool have shown a lot more hunger than West Ham. If they lose the ball, straight away Nunez is closing down to get it back.

The shots keep coming on West Ham's goal as Liverpool win the ball high up before Curtis Jones sends a low effort from outside the box wide of the far post.

Liverpool want that second goal and quickly!

This time it is really good footwork by Darwin Nunez, who turns away from three defenders before seeing his driven effort pushed over.

A strong start to the second half as Liverpool win two quick corners, the second after a really good run into the box by Dominik Szoboszlai ends with his cross deflecting behind.

David Moyes is keeping faith with his starting XI for now.

Liverpool get the second half under way.

Probably no surprises but West Ham didn't have a single shot on or off target in those opening 45 minutes.

He is very difficult to mark because he likes to go both ways. He has strength of character as well. He had that horrendous injury when he was at Blackburn with the broken leg. What he's been through, you know that when things are not going well he is going to dig in deep because he's been through that.

He is enjoying his football and getting opportunities and he has to use these games to show that he is ready to come into the Premier League. I just think he is a wonderful talent. Even though he is young, he has a personality in the Liverpool team, and is trying to create and is not afraid to make a mistake.

Liverpool thoroughly deserve it. They have been the best side.

West Ham are not getting tight enough to Elliott, who has too much room.

David Moyes needs to change this. The result is only going one way on the evidence of that 45 minutes.

Gakpo rises, he times it, and the only thing missing is that it doesn't end up in the back of the net. Everything else was perfect.

Almost 2-0 on the stroke of half-time as Cody Gakpo rises to meet a cross but places his header just the wrong side of the post.

There's one additional minute at the end of the half.

Curtis Jones lifts the ball into the box with Darwin Nunez the target but there's too much on the ball and Alphonse Areola gathers.
