  1. Bye for now!

Thanks for your company today - you can follow live text and radio coverage of the Premier League match between Brentford and Nottingham Forest here.

Our next live text coverage of the EFL is on Sunday, when Leeds host Preston in a 12:00 GMT kick-off in the Championship.

  2. Bottom of League Two

Forest Green are off the foot of the English Football League thanks to their draw at Gillingham. Sutton are now bottom of League Two and both clubs are six points from safety just past the halfway mark of the campaign.

Newport's win over Wrexham lifts them up to 14th but, otherwise, the bottom half of the table is largely unaffected.

Six of today's League Two games were called off because of the freezing conditions.

  3. Top of League Two

    #bbcefl

    League Two graphic

We could have had a new leader in League Two this evening with Stockport not playing, but Wrexham's 1-0 defeat at Welsh rivals Newport means they stay second.

The top five are now separated by five points after Crewe's success at Barrow, which lifts them above their opponents and into fourth.

MK Dons stay seventh after their late defeat by Morecambe, and Gillingham's draw with Forest Green means they remain eighth.

  4. Bottom of League One

    #bbcefl

    League One table graphic

With the match between Cheltenham and Carlisle postponed because of a frozen pitch, none of the teams that started in the League One relegation zone improved their positions on Saturday.

Exeter's draw with Cambridge means there is now a four-point gap between the bottom four and the rest.

  5. Top of League One

    #bbcefl

Portsmouth and Peterborough began the day in the top two spots in League One and stretched their advantage over the chasing pack with wins today.

Bolton and Derby both dropped points on the road, while Barnsley, Oxford and Stevenage were all thwarted by the cold weather.

  6. League Two full-time headlines

    • An early red card did not help Wrexham's cause as they lost to Newport in front of over 9,000 in the Welsh derby. In truth they could have won by more than one goal.
    • There was a second draw of the season between Gillingham and Forest Green, with both goals in a 1-1 draw coming in the second half.
    • Barrow lost at home to Crewe, making it four wins out of four in 2024 for Lee Bell's Railwaymen. They did it the hard way too, coming from behind in Cumbria.
    • MK Dons had won eight of their previous 11 in the league and took the lead against Morecambe, only to lose 2-1 through Charlie Brown's strike in the second minute of injury time.
  7. Post update

We'll have the full-time headlines from League Two shortly, plus what today's results have done to the league tables.

  8. League One full-time headlines

    • Portsmouth stay top of League One thanks to a 1-0 win at Fleetwood, with Abu Kamara scoring Pompey's first-half winner.
    • Peterborough remain a point behind in second place, having come from behind to beat Shrewsbury at home.
    • Derby and Bolton lose ground on the top two, drawing at Lincoln and losing at Leyton Orient respectively.
    • Martin Paterson has his first win as manager of Burton, who beat Charlton 2-0.
    • Blackpool and Wigan are also victorious, while Exeter v Cambridge ends goalless.
  9. 'Portsmouth were hanging on at the end'

    FT: Fleetwood 0-1 Portsmouth

    Steve Thompson

BBC Radio Lancashire summariser & former Blackpool assistant manager

Fleetwood created the chances in the second half, but they have to take the positives from it, Portsmouth was hanging on at the end.

Another three points not achieved by Fleetwood.

  10. FULL-TIME

    Gillingham 1-1 Forest Green

A second draw of the season between these two, with both goals coming in the second half.

Oli Hawkins had put the hosts ahead, but Callum Jones' fine effort shortly after secures an important point for the visitors in their first game since sacking Troy Deeney.

They move level on points with Sutton, but climb off the bottom thanks to a better goal difference. Gillingham's run of three wins in a row comes to an end, and they stay eighth.

  11. FULL-TIME

    Barrow 1-3 Crewe

Four out of four in 2024 for Lee Bell's Railwaymen.

They did it the hard way too, coming from behind in Cumbria.

Robbie Gotts' opener for the hosts was cancelled out by Elliott Nevitt before Crewe put the game to bed in the second half thanks to Lewis Billington's first senior goal and Matus Holicek's late header.

Crewe ended Mansfield's unbeaten home record in their last away game, and today they've stopped the division's only remaining undefeated side at home. Impressive.

  12. League Two latest

    MK Dons 1-2 Morecambe

    Late, late drama!

Another Coldplay-themed goalscorer today; Charlie Brown in the second minute of injury time added on gives Morecambe a bonus three points when for the last half an hour it seemed to be petering out for a draw.

  13. FULL-TIME

    Peterborough 2-1 Shrewsbury

Peterborough keep up the pressure on League One leaders Portsmouth but they needed to come from behind against Shrewsbury to do it.

Second-half goals from Joel Randall and Josh Knight are enough for the three points.

  14. FULL-TIME

    Wigan 1-0 Reading

At the end of a trying week, Reading are beaten by Thelo Aasgaard's first-half goal for Wigan.

  15. FULL-TIME

    Fleetwood 0-1 Portsmouth

A much-needed win for the League One leaders.

  16. FULL-TIME

    Newport 1-0 Wrexham

    Wales is Gold.

Seb Palmer-Houlden's header in the first half is enough to give Graham Coughlin's side a lively victory at Rodney Parade.

Wrexham, who had Will Boyle sent off early on, miss the chance to go top of the league in their first away league trip since 2003.

A cracking game played out in a cracking atmosphere.

  17. Post update

    Lincoln 0-0 Derby

    Sanny Rudravajhala

BBC Radio 5 Live at LNER Stadium

There’s a goal in this, both teams are still going for it.

  18. Post update

    Peterborough 2-1 Shrewsbury

Joel Randall almost makes the game safe for Posh but hits the post!

  19. Post update

    Wigan 1-0 Reading

Wigan goalkeeper Sam Tickle keeps his clean sheet intact with another smart save as we enter stoppage time at the DW Stadium.

  20. Injury Time

Four minutes at Gillingham, seven at Newport, and eight at Barrow.

Who's going to create some late drama?
