Top leads bottom in League One and it's a much-needed opening goal for Portsmouth at Fleetwood.

Abu Kamara gets on the end of Marlon Pack's pass and finds the net with a neat finish for the visitors.

    Newport 0-0 Wrexham

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

Wrexham's Will Boyle has been sent off for a sliding challenge on Shane McLoughlin, much to the delight of a sold-out Rodney Parade.

Now Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson is booked for something he said to referee Simon Mather. Cue more raucous cheering.

Newport have had the better of a highly-charged start to the game but it's still 0-0 after 20 minutes.

  3. 'Nevitt won't score many easier goals than that'published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Barrow 1-1 Crewe

    Peter Morse
Sports Journalist on BBC Radio Stoke

Christopher Long's first touch was nice, then he played a decent square ball and there was Elliott Nevitt.

He has scored some stunning goals for Crewe, but he won't get many easier than that one.

  4. goal

GOAL: Barrow 1-1 Crewepublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Elliott Nevitt (19 mins)

Barrow's lead lasts just 10 minutes.

The only side two win three games in League Two since the turn of the year aren't behind for long.

Chris Long gets to the byline and cuts the ball back for Elliott Nevitt to tap home his 11th of the season.

These two have averaged three goals a game in their last three meetings, and we've had two today already.

Bristol Rovers have had a terrible start in front of their home fans having also gone out of the FA Cup in midweek.

Blackpool bouncing back from their long midweek FA Cup loss emphatically, they're already two to the good at 'The Mem', Karamoko Dembele with their second.

  6. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Wigan 0-0 Reading

Thelo Aasgaard might feel he should have put Wigan in front - he heads straight at Reading goalkeeper David Button from close range and it remains goalless at the DW.

  7. RED CARD: Will Boyle (Wrexham)published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Newport 0-0 Wrexham

It wouldn't be a derby without a few hefty challenges, would it?

Will Boyle goes through Shane McLoughlin and the referee decides that's too much and the Wrexham man is off.

Feisty start, this. Let's hope emotions don't Boyle over too much this afternoon.

A big opportunity for Newport, though..

Almost 20 minutes into our 12 games across League One and League Two - just the three goals to report so far.

Hopefully it livens up a bit soon!

  9. 'Great finish'published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Barrow 1-0 Crewe

    Dave Bayliss
Ex-Barrow manager on BBC Radio Cumbria

David Worrall just put the ball into an area and it was a great finish by Robbie Gotts.

Crewe are just knocking the ball around the back and it suits Barrow.

  10. 'Fleetwood not had the best start'published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Fleetwood 0-0 Portsmouth

    Steve Thompson
BBC Radio Lancashire summariser & former Blackpool assistant manager

Fleetwood have not had the best start, Portsmouth are getting the ball up to the big man up top. Fleetwood are sitting very deep at the moment.

They have to get a foothold into the game.

  11. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Wigan 0-0 Reading

A fairly quiet start at the DW Stadium, where Wigan and Reading are yet to seriously test the opposing goalkeeper.

Plenty going on off the field at Reading but their form on the pitch recently has actually not been that bad - Ruben Selles' side are unbeaten in their past six in League One.

  12. goal

GOAL: Barrow 1-0 Crewepublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Robbie Gotts (9 mins)

    A big start for Barrow!

It didn't take long to open the scoring at Holker Street and it's a fine finish as Robbie Gotts connects beautifully with a David Worrall cross to volley into the back of the net.

Gotts to hand it to him (sorry), that's a great strike.

  13. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Peterborough 0-0 Shrewsbury

Posh create the first meaningful chance of their game with Shrewsbury, but Ricky-Jade Jones is denied by visiting goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Gillingham 0-0 Forest Green

Gillingham have the worst attacking record in League Two, but top scorer Macauley Bonne has had an early sight at goal, nudging a header just wide of Luke Daniels' post.

  15. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Fleetwood 0-0 Portsmouth

Fleetwood's most recent home fixture was a couple of weeks ago against promotion-chasing Derby and Charlie Adam's side far from disgraced themselves, threatening an equaliser late on before eventually succumbing by a 3-1 scoreline.

Goalless in the early stages at Highbury.

  16. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Newport 0-0 Wrexham

A new temporary stand at Rodney Parade for today's game, with an extra 1,000 seats available to watch this Welsh derby.

Lots of noise as you can expect. Perhaps County will keep that stand up for the visit of Erik ten Hag's Manchester United in a couple of weeks.

  17. League Two latestpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    MK Dons 1-0 Morecambe

MK Dons have won eight of their last 11 in the league, they took the lead after just two minutes in this one, Max Dean's first goal in five games.

Joe Tomlinson fired the ball into the box which Morecambe failed to clear - Max Dean pounced on the opportunity and curled it around Archie Mair.

The first goal of the third and fourth tier comes at the Memorial Stadium, Bristol.

Blackpool, who had that very long FA Cup replay with Nottingham Forest in midweek, take the lead through CJ Hamilton after five minutes.

  19. Newport and Wrexham's long-distance rivalrypublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Newport 0-0 Wrexham

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Rodney Parade

There might be 125 miles and a three-hour drive between Newport and Wrexham - but there's still a rivalry between these two Welsh clubs in League Two.

Wrexham won the reverse fixture 2-0 a month ago, the first meeting between the sides since County - then a division higher than their opponents - dished out a 4-0 thrashing in an FA Cup second-round replay in 2018.

The real source of this recent rivalry, however, was Newport’s 2-0 win in the 2013 Conference (now known as the National League) play-off final at Wembley, condemning Wrexham to another decade in the non-league wilderness.

But now, the power dynamic has changed with the Hollywood-owned Wrexham riding high in League Two and chasing a second successive promotion, while Newport are 17th.

It’s a sell-out at Rodney Parade, where the capacity has been increased by the addition of a temporary stand. Handy timing with Newport hosting Manchester United in the FA Cup next weekend.
