Aberdeen manager Barry Robson tells BBC Scotland making four changes is simply about "freshness" after Sunday's League Cup final loss.

And Robson says he has not had to pick up his players too much in recent days.

"What I said to them is we want to be at Hampden at this club and we want to try to get back in the Scottish Cup," he said.

"At this club we don't sit and mope about we've got to move on. The fans expect us to move on quickly and perform at our best because we've got a massive game against Livingston.

"We need to get going in the league and if we put good performances in we've got a chance to win some games."

The only positive for Aberdeen after Sunday is tonight’s game represents a quickfire opportunity to get a bit of positivity back.

Manager Barry Robson knows they can ill afford any sort of cup final hangover as they look to really get their Premiership campaign going.

The Dons mustered a solid victory over Hearts in their last league outing they have to build on that tonight.

Robson’s side are 10th in the table but with a number of games in hand on the teams above.

With three of their next four fixtures at home, the next couple of weeks represents a decent chance to get things motoring in the right direction again.

Livingston are taking a grim set of stats into this game - so look away now, Livi fans.

You have to go back to early October to find the last time they tasted victory, since then they have gone eight games without a win, losing seven.

They have also gone seven games without scoring a goal.

Given all of that, they travel north five points adrift at the bottom of the table and they have two games in hand on the team directly above them.

Rangers fans, you probably don't need anyone to tell you what's at stake tonight, but we're going to anyway.

Your boys have two games in hand over leaders Celtic, who are five points ahead. Simple maths tells you that gap will be two by the end of the night if your team get the win.

Anything other than a victory will continue St Johnstone's revival under Craig Levein, who will have half an eye on the result at Pittodrie as both Aberdeen and Livingston lurk behind.

A win for the Dons would move them above Saints, while Livi are in desperate need of points.

• Aberdeen have won both of their last two home league games against Livingston, and have never won three in a row at home to them in the top-flight before.
• Livingston have taken 10 points from their last six league games against Aberdeen (W3 D1 L2), as many as their previous 18 against them beforehand (W2 D4 L12).
• After beating Hearts 2-1, Aberdeen are looking to win back-to-back league games for just a second time this season, after doing so in September. At home, the Dons last won successive home league fixtures in April last season (run of five).
• Livingston have only won one of their last 16 away league games (D2 L13), a 3-2 win at Hibernian in August. They have lost their last four on the road, failing to score in their last three.
• 20 of Bojan Miovski’s 22 goals in the Scottish Premiership for Aberdeen have come at Pittodrie (91%). Indeed, the North Macedonian has scored (5) or assisted (1) six of the Don’s last eight home league goals (75%).

Sean Kelly has not recovered from a knock in the goalless draw with Kilmarnock, so Jamie Brandon comes into the Livingston XI.

Brandon will slot in as a wing-back, with Joel Nouble pushing up front.

Slobodan Rubezic is suspended, and Jonny Hayes, Jamie McGrath, and Ester Sokler drop to the bench.

Angus MacDonald, James McGarry, Dante Polvara, and Luis 'Duk' Lopes start instead.

The St Johnstone starting line-up shows three alterations after Saturday's win over Hibernian.

Defenders Andy Considine, Oludare Olufunwa and midfielder Sven Sprangler come in for Craig Levein, with Tony Gallacher, Ryan McGowan and weekend goal scorer Graham Carey dropping to the bench.

Forward Nicky Clark is also among the substitutes, having recovered from injury.

Rangers make five changes from the side that started Sunday's Viaplay Cup final win over Aberdeen.

In defence, John Souttar and Rivan Yilmaz replace benched duo Leon Balogun and Borna Barisic.

Sam Lammers and Kieran Dowell come into midfield in place of Dujon Sterling and Todd Cantwell, both of whom are among the substitutes, while Cyriel Dessers takes up Kemar Roofe's place on the bench as the forward starts as the central striker.

Dowell makes his first appearance since coming off the bench in the 5-0 defeat of Dundee on 1 November and his first start since the League Cup win over Morton on 19 August.
