  1. FULL-TIME St Mirren 0-1 Kilmarnockpublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

Kilmarnock hold off St Mirren to go level on points with Hearts in third, and pick up a rare away win in Paisley.

The visitors started the better of the two sides and a quick counter attack put Marley Watkins through on goal, with the Welshmen finishing high into the net.

Killie allowed their hosts to come back into it as they failed to show a clinical touch, and Will Dennis had to make a few good saves to retain the lead.

They held on though, continuing their decent away form - unbeaten in their last four on the road.

Both sides have been so, so wasteful.

One clinical moment will lead to three points, but at the moment, a draw is probably fair.

    Hibernian 0-0 Hearts

Hearts may not have troubled too frequently, but Lawrence Shanland has found himself in behind a fair few times.

A long ball finds him again, but his strike is saved routinely by David Marshall.

  4. FULL-TIME Livingston 0-0 St Johnstonepublished at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

The Lions stay bottom, four points adrift of Motherwell.

Chances at both ends, with Nicky Clark going closest for St Johnstone before Luke Robinson's effort was ruled out for an offside in the buildup.

Livingston really should have won it at the end when Mikey Devlin blasted wide from deep inside the box.

  5. CLOSE!published at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

    Livingston 0-0 St Johnstone

    Oh, Mikey Devlin.

The Livingston captain should win the game for his side!

A deep cross falls for him around the penalty spot, but the skipper miscues his effort horribly wide with the goal at his mercy.

And that's the last kick of the game... it's now 11 games without a win for Davie Martindale's team.

It was a good strike but right at the goalkeeper.

A yard either side and the pace of the shot would probably have taken it into the back of the net.

Elie Youan looking the most likely to find the breakthrough here.

The Frenchman fires from the edge of the box, forcing Zander Clark into a reaction save. They're ramping up the pressure in search of a winner that would send the home crowd wild.

  8. Shot on target klaxonpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 Hearts

Hearts have their shot on target!

It couldn't have been much tamer though as Alex Cochrane's effort from distance just bobbles into the grasp of David Marshall.

    Hibernian 0-0 Hearts

Hearts are yet to have a shot on target - we've played 77 minutes.

David Marshall is having an easy night of it despite facing an early penalty.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

    St Mirren 0-1 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock are banging the door down looking to kill this game. They can't get the ball to sit, Stuart Findlay has a go with his weaker right foot but it spins into the air.

Rory McKenzie then flashes a volley at goal but Hemming produces a phenomenal save.

The ball goes out and Hemming is furious - and it's easy to see why. That entire phase of play, James Bolton was down with a head knock in the box. The game really should have been stopped.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 Hearts

Another penalty shout for Hibs, but this time it ends in a booking for simulation for Martin Boyle.

The Hibs man just flops to the ground with Frankie Kent at his back.

The fact there were no complaints from Boyle probably tells you everything you need to know.

    Zander Clark to the rescue.

Hibs come streaming forward and Martin Boyle finds Dylan Vente, but he can only shoot straight at the Hearts goalkeeper.

A far from confident finish from the Dutch striker.

  14. CLOSE!published at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 Hearts

Lewis Miller with a terrible pass right into the feet of Kenneth Vargas.

The substitute strides forward and lines one up, but his effort whistles over the bar.

Every time either side are afforded an opportunity, they don't seem interested in finishing it off.

Can anyone step up and be the derby day hero?

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 27 December 2023

    St Mirren 0-1 Kilmarnock

There's not been a lot to write about in this second half but Corrie Ndaba has just produced a fine block to deny Stav Nahmani.

St Mirren keep the pressure up and the ball is clipped into Scott Tanser, whose header forces Will Dennis into a fine save.

Hearts make another attacking change as Kenneth Vargas replaces Alan Forrest.
