  1. 'I'm very disappointed'published at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man Utd

    Luton Town

Luton manager Rob Edwards to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Not the right result. You can't give a team like Manchester United a two-goal lead, especially in the manner we did. It was really frustrating because then I thought the lads showed the quality that they have to come back from that.

"We pushed them all the way then, but it's really frustrating. I'm disappointed for the lads. We came into this game really believing that we could win this game. The performance shows that as well.

"We had to brave, I know we have to be better at managing the counter-attack, they had some big moments there. There are certainly things we can improve on there. We have to be better on that.

"But the performance was great, to dominate large parts of the game. We did create chances and kept pushing all the way until the end. We were unlucky with that set-piece at the end when Ross hit the bar.

"I'm very disappointed with the manner we conceded those two goals. But the rest of the performance was really good."

Should Ross Barkley get an England call up?: "I can only talk about what he's doing for Luton, but look he's been amazing and we love him. his performances have been sensational and I thought he showed loads of bravery today. His workrate was top."

'We looked like a good team'published at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man United

    Luton Town

Luton boss Rob Edwards, speaking to Sky Sports: "We can't give Man United a two goal lead like that. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Ultimately, 2-0 against a team like that is really difficult. No excuses. We play that way, we take the risk. We are going to make mistakes but it cost us today.

"It was a commitment to the gameplan, it didn't collapse. We had a lot of control but we were vulnerable to the counter attack. I was really pleased with how the players responded. We looked like a good team."

On Casemiro: "Potentially. I think him coming off at half time was a tell tale sign to that one."

"We've lost the last two but we got points in the previous one. We're playing well, we're performing well. No one can argue against now. It doesn't get any easier now. We need to recover quickly and then we go away to Liverpool."

On Adebayo: "He's feeling his hamstring. I thought Woodrow did really well."

  5. 'I think we are back in the race'published at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man United

    Manchester United

Man United boss Erik ten Hag, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was very good but then we had big chances to score more. We dropped too deep and allowed them to get back in the game. We didn't close the half spaces. It got difficult. We had big chances in the second half and we didn't take them.

"We should have scored in the second half with Bruno, Garnacho and Rashford. One has to go in and then you make your life easy. We kept them in the game.

On subbing Casemiro and Maguire: "I saw the reaction from the referee and thought they could go off with the next one. With McTominay and Evans we have good replacements. Don't take the risk. I thought it was the right decision.

On Luton: "We are dropping too deep and we lost a bit of focus maybe because it was so easy in the first 10 minutes. We can't afford this especially against a side like Luton. They have really upped their trend in the last few weeks."

On Hojlund: "We recruited him on his character, I knew it was strong. He can really perform under stress and that is something you need a Man United striker. He doesn't get nervous or lose confidence. He has a lot of confidence and I'm sure he will score even more.

On Champions League spot: "I think we are back in the race and we are building momentum. We need to build pressure. Every game is a final to get closer to them.

On takeover: "I have very good contacts. I know what's going on. For Manchester United, it is very good. It's highly ambitious. They are good people coming in. We are the project and they can help us and support us to accelerate this project."

In case you missed it earlier, Luton captain Tom Lockyer was interviewed on Sky Sports.

The 29-year-old was resuscitated after his heart stopped beating for two minutes and 40 seconds in the Premier League game with Bournemouth in December.

"I'm incredibly lucky to be alive," Lockyer said.

"We will be dictated to by the medical staff and specialists but if there was a chance I could play again, and I'm not going to do anything against the specialists' recommendations, then I would love to.

"It's far too early to say, there are a lot more tests and things that need to happen in the background, but I wouldn't write it off."

  7. 'We made it hard for ourselves'published at 19:03 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United goalscorer Rasmus Hojlund to BBC Match of the Day: "Three points is the most important. I am there to help the team so I am happy.

"We are switching off a little bit. We know with this crowd and also the team, they are in a good run of form. We made it hard for ourselves today.

"I was rubbing my hands a lot of times because I was quite nervous. I'm grateful for the win though, but a little bit lucky.

"I had a chance myself that I needed to put in the back of the net. Of course we need to score those. But I am sure next week we will bounce back and show Old Trafford what we are made of.

"I think I need to say thanks to my teammates and the coach because they have showed me great confidence and kept believing in me. I knew as well that I could score goals but of course it was annoying I didn't score in the Premier League.

"We are here now, and I just want to keep going and help the team."

  8. 'We're performing well but it's a results business'published at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man Utd

    Luton Town

Luton striker Carlton Morris, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's hard not to be disappointed but we're in a business where you can't get too down or two up. We'll look at what we've done for us to be goals down.

"I have so much faith in the boys that I never think we're out of the game. We've shown we're capable this season but it wasn't to be.

"All the stuff we've worked on in the week was working. We had the majority of the ball against Man United. It shows how far we've come from the start of the season.

"You can say we're performing well but it's a results business. We need to perform better in both boxes and that's something we're working hard on."

  9. 'We have to stay focused during the whole game'published at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag to BBC Match of the Day: "I think quick up and, as you say, we had good chances with Garnacho and Rashford, it could have been three or four-nil.

"After that we lose some focus and we are not so strict in what we should do and they came more in the game. We dropped too deep and allowed them too many passes.

"We gave some chances away and they got the 2-1. That's no good. But after half-time we picked it up. We had several chances. So many chances one against one. I think it was Garnacho, Rashford again, it was Bruno Fernandes. We had so many chances, it should be 3-1 in these moments.

"Their goal brought the pressure on. They had crosses into the box and shots, but not the chances we had. We had big chances and with our abilities, we should have scored.

"It can always happen, a cross or a corner, you can concede if you don't execute the 3-1.

"We make the progress but also you see we have to stay focused during the whole game. I will not say switch off, but when you do a little bit less, than you get punished.

"We can't afford this. We have to be all-time 100% focused. Do your job together, in and out of possession and then you can control your games. What could have been an easy win was now a difficult win."

Man Utd are six points off the top four, not five. They'll never make up the goal difference on Villa or Spurs (depending on who they're challenging at the end of the season).

  11. 'We need to keep pushing for the Champions League spot'published at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February

    FT: Luton 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, speaking to Sky Sports: "A good beginning, two good and fast goals. We dropped a little bit and they got one back. We know with this crowd, 2-1 is a dangerous result. We created a lot of chances in the second half and we couldn't score.

"We know the pressure in every away ground in the Premier League is immense. We have to deal with it, we are Manchester United."

On first goal: "I thought something could happen. I have a lot of speed so I dragged it to my left foot and I could score. I was a little bit unsure after the touch but in the end it was a good goal.

On second goal: "I did mean it, 100%. You can see I turned my body and it went in. I was surprised to be honest. I have a lot of confidence at the moment."

On lack of goals: "I never doubted myself but of course you can be a bit down when you don't score. I knew it was just a matter of time. I was learning my teammates and knowing their positioning. I always try to do my best. Three points is the most important thing. I always want to score but I'll always fight."

On team-mates: "They're quality players. I play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to keep playing with them and getting better. Hopefully, they can get better as well."

On four wins in a row: "This was massive today. We've closed the gap on Villa and Spurs. We need to keep pushing for the Champions League spot and we're still in the FA Cup. We want to win trophies."

Indeed, among current Premier League sides, only Tottenham (37) are on a longer active scoring run in the competition.

The three points are the key. Man United knew it was going to be difficult and Luton threw everything at them. They had a lot of chances in the second half to make things more comfortable.

I've got to say, what a great performance from Luton again. They are great to watch.
