Well that's all from us tonight as Wales did what they needed to do and advanced to a winner-takes-all match with Poland on Tuesday for a place at the 2024 European Championships.

Wales might need to play even better if they are to advance to Germany, but will take heart from showing a clinical touch in front of goal and making a super fast start in both halves.

Thank you very much for following along with us tonight, we hope to have your company again on Tuesday evening.

I said before the game that Jordan James and Ethan Ampadu, that partnership has allowed Wales this success, in my opinion.

It solidifies the defence and it allows the attack to go and press really high with confidence, knowing that we've got those two rock solid players and then a back three behind them.

Wales manager Rob Page speaking to BBC Radio Wales: "We know what we've got in the changing room, they're a great group of lads and we did have a selection headache tonight.

"Poland will be a tough game and we respect what they're all about.

"However, we know if we bring our A-game like we did against Croatia and tonight, the result will take care of itself.

"We've been there and done it, we know what we have to do, it doesn't faze us. We've had a taste of major tournaments and we quite like it."

Going into Tuesday, Poland are a different proposition. The only thing I will say from tonight's game is that we could've been more patient at times.

I don't think Poland will allow us as much time to try and counter them, but who knows - we will see Tuesday.

“Of course I am disappointed, we didn’t reach the level I wished.

“We had disastrous starts to both halves with Wales scoring in both those periods.

“Hopefully Wales will go all the way to the Euros, because they are a good team.

“I can’t ask for more than my players gave on the field.

“I am very disappointed of course, but that’s football.”

"I think we were disappointed to go into half-time having conceded but we went out in the second half with the same spirit and scored early again.

"We only got better from there so we're obviously delighted, but it's only half-time. We've got a big game on Tuesday now to look forward to!

"To score four here, I can't think of the last game we scored four here, we've got goals all over the pitch.

"I think everyone's come into camp, whether they're playing or not, fit and ready.

"We really gelled as a team today and we've got to take that into Tuesday."

I think the way Wales started each half was fantastic, it shows Wales are in a good place.

That goal from Brennan Johnson was vital at that time in the game, Wales didn't let Finland get a sniff in that second half.
