Stoke are full of confidence now. Wesley cuts in from the left and fires one inches wide of the far post. Good effort!

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    QPR 0-0 Bournemouth

A first yellow card of the afternoon at Loftus Road.

Sam Field tugs on the shirt of Philip Billing, but it's the Bournemouth midfielder's reaction that draws the yellow from referee Rebecca Welch.

Soon as James McAtee got the ball Gillingham were in trouble. It was a good finish from William Osula, but the keeper Jake Turner has to do better.

Big mix-up at the back for Gillingham but Cameron Archer can't make them pay.

  6. Superb Ward goal equalises for Roverspublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Norwich 1-1 Bristol Rovers

    Wow! Another superb finish.

Bristol Rovers attack and the ball breaks for Grant Ward on the edge of the area.

He fires towards goal, with the outside of his right foot, and it finds the top corner.

    Superb strike.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    QPR 0-0 Bournemouth

A great save from Mark Travers denies Lyndon Dykes.

The Scotland international holds his run before angling a header goalward, but Travers is quick to react and palms the ball away.

    A brilliant start for Stoke!

The Championship side are ahead thanks to an own goal from Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke.

Bae Jun-Ho makes a good run on the right, pulls it back into the danger area and the Dutchman gets his feet all tangled, deflecting it in.

Mehdi Léris had forced a save from goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen seconds before too after a lovely through ball from Lewis Baker.

Ashley Barnes had a great, long spell at Burnley and is a great signing for Norwich.

United striker William Osula has only touched the ball twice so far. New signing Ben Brereton Diaz is on the bench - I wonder if he'll make his debut today.

  12. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

A second yellow card of the game already as Ki-Jana Hoever catches Joao Pedro.

Jan Paul van Hecke was given one earlier for deliberate handball.

    Norwich 1-0 Bristol Rovers

Norwich, who are 13th in the Championship, are ahead against 10th-placed League One side Bristol Rovers.

Onel Hernandez powers in down the right wing and lays off for Ashley Barnes, who taps into the empty net.

    QPR 0-0 Bournemouth

Andre Dozzell lofts a cross over the Bournemouth defence in an attempt to find Lyndon Dykes, but it's just a couple of inches too high and whizzes over the Scotland international's head.

  15. Estupinan chucks his glovespublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Stoke 0-0 Brighton

    Simon Stone

Not a great deal has happened here so far but clearly the notorious Stoke chill has deceived Pervis Estupinan.

The Ecuador full-back started the game wearing gloves and a short sleeved shirt.

He just threw the gloves into the Brighton technical area.

    Glorious weather here.

Huge credit to Southampton today for setting ticket prices at a very affordable level for this third-round tie with League Two side Walsall.

The Saddlers are backed by a hefty, vocal travelling support but there is also a significant Saints contingent here.

And they have an early goal to cheer after Taylor Harwood-Bellis' wonderful ball over the top was chested down and fired home by Ryan Fraser. Lovely finish.

It's been all Southampton - with the 56-place gap between the sides showing.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Stoke 0-0 Brighton

Jakub Moder squares it for Evan Ferguson, who would have had a tap-in were it not for Ben Wilmot.

Joao Pedro's shot is then deflected and Facundo Buonanotte is inches away from it at the back post. He ends up colliding with the woodwork but is OK.

  18. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

Sheffield United have a spell of possession. Can they do anything with it? Not yet, as Andre ABrooks loses the ball in the box.

A good spell for QPR. Ziyad Larkeche tries to fire a ball across the face of goal but Chris Mepham ensures it doesn't get any further than the near post.
