Southampton extended their unbeaten run to 19 games with a comfortable win over League Two Walsall at St Mary's.

Ryan Fraser scored twice, while Sekou Mara and Che Adams also scored.

Andrew Hughes gives it away and Alfie Gilchrist overlaps on the right. He pulls it back for Raheem Sterling and his shot is deflected into Freddie Woodman's arms. That was a good chance for Chelsea.

Will Keane then has a go from the edge of the box when Milutin Osmajic's flicks it on at the other end but it's straight at the keeper.

Brighton went behind at Stoke but they came back to win 4-2.

Joao Pedro scored twice, while there were also goals for Pervis Estupinan and Lewis Dunk.

Preston will probably be the happier of the two teams. Their defensive shape has looked well and they have looked dangerous on the counter attack as well.

Decent ball in from Jordan Storey which isn't dealt with at first by Chelsea before Axel Disasi hooks it away.

Preston have looked bright. They are organised and a bit of a threat on the counter-attack through their full-backs.

Middlesbrough are looking to exploit the Aston Villa high line down the flanks, with the diagonal ball to Alex Bangura on the left a popular option. They make that move work this time and Bangura gets into the box, but his touch is too heavy and he loses the ball before there's some half-hearted appeals for a penalty as he goes down.

Armando Broja drops in to collect Malo Gusto's pass in the middle and coolly lays it off to Alfie Gilchrist on the right.

It's a good opportunity for Broja tonight.

First real attempt on goal as Matty Cash comes charging in on the right side of the box to meet a cross but his first-time effort is blocked by the Middlesbrough defence.

Good positive play from both of Preston's full-backs. If they can get at Chelsea youngster Gilchrist then that might pay off.

Liam Millar has a run at Alfie Gilchrist on the left and whips in a high and deep cross towards his opposite full-back Brad Potts.

Malo Gusto knows Potts is there and has to head it out for a throw-in.

Crucial interception by Matty Cash as he stops the ball getting through to Alex Bangura, who was charging away down the left.

This is the first FA Cup meeting between Middlesbrough and Aston Villa since January 1957, when Villa won 3-2 en route to winning the trophy for the seventh and most recent time.
