  3. Darvel discussion done?published at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

    FT: Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

So, is that the last we've heard of that Darvel defeat?

Dons fans may be hoping so, but I reckon that one will be talked about for some time yet.

There's no escape, though there's some reprieve from that result.

Robson also spoke about kicking on in the second half of the season.

Aberdeen fans will need to find more consistency if they're to break into the top six and have a chance of returning to Europe.

  5. 'Something really special' needed for Bojan to be soldpublished at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Aberden manager Barry Robson tells BBC Scotland:"The most important thing in a cup tie is to win the game. We tried to change system and stretch them a wee bit. We did that and got some goals.

On Bojan Miovski: "That's why teams have top strikers. That's what their job is. They're hard players to try and find. He's a good kid and he works hard."

"We love him as a boy. He's a perfect example of a player coming over and showing what it takes.

"He is enjoying it. We want him to be here as long as we can, but we know others will be interested in him. It's going to need to take something really special for Bojan to leave here."

  6. 'Proud of the players' - McCallpublished at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

    FT: Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

Clyde manager Ian McCall tells BBC Scotland: "I think Aberdeen deserved to win, but they didn't create many clear-cut chances. We contained them really well, and had a good couple of chances towards the end of the game to make it 2-1.

"I'm proud of them, they gave everything. It was pleasing, but we're out of the cup. I'm sure our supporters appreciated the level of effort.

"We'll be stronger at the end of January than we were when I came in. There was lots to like.

"They showed character, they never gave up, but Miovski's a good striker. There's probably only Shankland and Kyogo better than him, and he showed his quality to get that all-important first goal.

"We can stay in the league. We're going into every game trying to win."

  7. Is Miovski the best in top flight?published at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Nicky Devlin has plenty of praise for his frontman Bojan Miovski, calling him the best striker in the league.

Do you agree? Show me those thumbs.

Dons defender Nicky Devlin has been named player of the match, and has been talking to BBC Scotland:

"We knew it would be a difficult game. Scottish Cup has a habit of throwing up shock results, so we didn't want to be on the end of that.

"I thought the boys were good for large spells. Everyone coming tonight wanted it to be a good cup tie - we didn't, we wanted to win the game.

"It was always going to be difficult to break them down, but when you've got the likes of Bojan [Miovski], you're going to break teams down."

Faddy has also just called Nicky Devlin's strike the goal of the round so far with a wee chuckle.

Two goals in, we'll see what the rest of them can conjure up tomorrow.

Former Scotland forward on BBC Scotland

Clyde battled to the end and looked to get a goal that could have got them back in the tie.

They will take a lot from this game. It's so important for them to preserve their league status - that's their priority.

  13. FULL-TIME Clyde 0-2 Aberdeenpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January

Aberdeen avoid some Darvel deja vu as they see off Clyde and progress to the next round of the Scottish Cup.

  14. PLAYER OF THE MATCHpublished at 90+1 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

Nicky Devlin gets the nod from Mikey Stewart. Unsurprising really, a goal and assist from full-back ain't bad.

  15. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

Three minutes added on. Aberdeen will be desperate to get in out this rain.

    Day for the ducks.

  16. Postpublished at 89 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

And that corner goes behind for another...

And Dons clear their lines. Break on, but it comes to nothing as Duk's cross has far to much on it.

You'd expect Aberdeen to be more ruthless there.

  17. Postpublished at 87 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

Tricky ball in from the hosts forces Nicky Devlin to prod the ball behind.

    Time running out...

  18. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

Peter Grant takes a nasty one there. Papa Gueye comes charging in and the striker's elbow catches the Clyde man's face.

Not sure how intentional it was, but it didn't look great.

  19. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

All-in-all, I think you'd say this has been a reasonably solid defensive display from Clyde.

They should take some confidence into their league campaign, where it's all about avoiding bottom spot and those play-offs against either the Highland or Lowland League winner.

  20. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 82 mins

    Clyde 0-2 Aberdeen

Shayden Morris has somehow ended up on the other side of the barrier.

The winger goes sliding along the surface and straight through the exit gate. Sore one, but looks like he'll soldier on.

Meanwhile Papa Gueye is on for Bojan Miovski, who got the Aberdeen charge under way with that fine finish.
