DR Congo have done their nation proud still. They weren't expected to reach the semis.

Before the game today they used the opportunity of being in the international spotlight to call for peace in the troubled eastern region of their country.

They have one more game to go, against South Africa in Saturday's third-place play-off.

An absolutely remarkable achievement from the Ivory Coast caretaker manager Emerse Fae.

He started the tournament as assistant manager to Jean-Louis Gasset.

Gasset was sacked after the group stages and Fae wasn't even the first choice to be the caretaker.

The Ivory Coast tried and failed to bring in France's women's boss Herve Renard on a temporary basis.

And Fae, a former Reading player, has just led the hosts into the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.

You can just see the urgency now about the DR Congo players, Banza just tried to take the shot on as early as possible but didn't quite get over it.
