Really good from the hosts again, Gaetane Thiney with a nutmeg on Sjoeke Nusken on halfway and then spreads it out to Julie Dufour on the right, she glides away from Eve Perisset and stands up a testing cross...but Kadeisha Buchanan clears with a brilliant header.

It's been all Paris since the restart, Chelsea are playing like a side who know they're home and hosed in the group.

They have actually only had two efforts all night and scored both of them. Effortlessy clinical.

Paris carve Chelsea open down their right again but this time the flag does go up against Mathilde Bourdieu. The Paris number nine has been a real threat all evening.

Back in my student/nightclub days someone once trod right on the top of my foot like that in high heels. Her, not me. Honestly one of the most painful things I've ever experienced.

Gaetane Thiney is harder than me though and is fine to carry on. Chelsea are warming up some big names, they haven't started this half too well.

That'll bruise nicely - Sophie Ingle catches fellow captain Gaetane Thiney right on the top of the foot with her studs and the pair exchange words.

    They really hurt.

That would have made things interesting! Paris have to win to stand a chance of going through tonight, remember.

  7. CLOSE!published at 48 mins

    Paris FC 0-2 Chelsea

GOT TO SCORE! Oh what a miss from Julie Dufour.

Paris catch Chelsea out down the right, the ball is squared across and she's got a tap-in, essentially, from about eight yards out. Leans back and slams it into the Parisian night.

Right, Paris FC have 45 minutes to keep their campaign alive. They'll need at least three goals to do so, though manager Sandrine Soubeyrand didn't look exactly pumped at the prospect as they came out of the tunnel.

Chelsea did reach the final back in 2021, of course, but conceded four goals in the first 36 minutes as Barcelona blew them away.

Could this be the year for revenge?

It's goalless in the other game in the group so as it stands Swedes Hacken will be through in second place behind Chelsea.

A fine evening in Paris for all concerned in Chelsea blue so far.

Great challenge! Clara Mateo is played in on goal down the Paris right, a chance to strike before the break but she slices wide under pressure as Eve Perisset made a fine tackle.

That's a first Champions League goal for 22-year-old Mia Fishel. Sam Kerr's boots are monumental to fill but that's one way to go about it.

    What's French for deja vu?!

A carbon copy strike and that could potentially be curtains for Paris. Jelena Cankovic skips inside Julie Soyer on the Chelsea left and picks out another fine ball into the middle, Mia Fishel is too strong for her defender to get there first and head through the legs of Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Kadeisha Buchanan has to be alert in that Chelsea defence to scramble the ball away. Paris are keeping on the attack, as they have to.

As it stands they are going out of the Champions League.

    Paris FC 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea's first attack in a while and it's a neat one, Fran Kirby looking to play a one-two with Mia Fishel but the striker's return is off target.

I was thinking it, so you may have been.

The women's Champions League trophy weighs about 10kg, by the way. So Emma Hayes will be hoping she has to pay for that extra baggage this summer...

  19. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Paris FC 0-1 Chelsea

Great chance! Paris really should be level as Julie Soyer cuts a cross in from the right and Celina Ould Hocine, galloping up from the back, finishes like a proper centre-half. Shanked high and wide.
