It's going to blow around St James Park. I'm looking at the corner flags and they're not moving too much, so hopefully that won't affect the game. Let's hope the rain doesn't get worse until the game ends.
This is a big game at both ends of the table. Peterborough are very much looking upward and are hopeful of picking up three points to keep them in the promotion picture, with one of their rivals for those places, Stevenage, playing too.

Peterborough's automatic promotion hopes took a bit of a hit on Saturday with a 3-2 home defeat by Wigan. Their previous League One loss had been against the Latics at the start of November.
Exeter start tonight's round of games five points above the relegation zone and are looking bounce back from a loss themselves.
They were beaten 1-0 at home by Bristol Rovers on Saturday, having taken seven points from their previous three league games.

Charlie Adam's spell as Fleetwood manager began with four successive defeats, but things have turned for the Cod Army in the past couple of weekends.
A 2-2 draw at Wycombe was followed by a 3-0 win over Port Vale, which lifted Fleetwood off the bottom of the table.
Despite that, they are eight points from safety and tonight they come up against another team whose form has improved recently.
Bristol Rovers began 2024 with four straight league defeats but go into this match seeking a third straight win after beating Oxford and Exeter.

The Trotters have two games in hand on the Rams and three on
Pompey, so if they win those they will be top of the pile - but thinking along
those lines would be getting ahead of themselves.
They first have to defeat a Cambridge side which is on a four-game
unbeaten run and looking to put more daylight between themselves and the danger
zone.
Cambridge are unbeaten in their past five home league games
against Bolton Wanderers (W2 D3) since a 3-2 loss in May 1985.
Let’s hope we see some goals though as Cambridge have already kept as many home league clean
sheets this season as they managed in the whole of last season (seven) and Bolton have

There will be a little bit of a lull in the atmosphere at Vale Park tonight. You want some of those players to be rattling into challenges to get the fans going.
It needs to be one where the fans are buoying the players on so that they're not nervous, anxious and suffering a lack of confidence.
I'm surprised Nathan Smith has been dropped by Port Vale. Of late, his performances have probably been indifferent, as he probably knows. But experience is needed.
Nathan is a winner. Some players have let the club, manager and fans down. There are probably players who think they are doing Port Vale a favour by being here.
You can see players have come in with reputations and profiles and they've not performed. Ultimately, that has meant the manager has lost his job.
You want players who would do anything for the club, and Nathan is one of them.

Port Vale's match against Leyton Orient is ON following a pitch inspection about an hour ago.
Vale sacked manager Andy Crosby on Monday, ending his 10-month spell in charge of the League One club.
Academy coaches Will Ryder, Matt Done and Danny Lloyd are taking temporary charge and if they could have hand-picked a team to face this evening, they certainly would not have gone for Orient, one of the in-form teams in the third tier.
They have taken 17 points from the past 21 available to move within 10 points of the top six.
'Postponement is worse for Morecambe'

I've got my flippers on, my armbands on and mask and snorkel. I never thought I'd be able to say that live on radio but tonight it's apt.
It's worse for Morecambe because, coming down the M6, it's been like this all day. For them to have probably stopped off on the way, had a pre-match and then got here to be told it's off - all you can do is say 'right, let's pack it up and go, get back on the bus and get back up as quickly as we can.'
Even the home team didn't get some trainers on and run around the pitch. It's just an absolutely torrential downpour with no sign of letting up, so you just get off as quickly as you can and back to your families.
Games off at Burton and Walsall

There has been heavy rainfall across central areas of England throughout Tuesday and that has led to the postponements of two of tonight's scheduled fixtures.
Burton were set to host Cheltenham in League One but that was called off because of a waterlogged pitch just after 18:00 GMT.
A few minutes later, the League Two game between Walsall and Morecambe was postponed for the same reason.
