Birmingham have made a host of attacking changes but they've never really put the home goal under real pressure.

As it stands this will be a third game in a row without scoring.

That's the second half in a nutshell.

They stand a ball up to the far post and Ike Ugbo's attacking it. Paik Seung-ho, who looks like he's got the whole lot at the moment, is sending in balls but there's no-one there for Birmingham.

We need more desire to score.

Lee Buchanan slashes a shot into the side-netting after a cross from the right comes all the way across goal.

Birmingham need to get a goal back quickly if they're to take anything tonight.

The two Owls centre-backs Akin Famewo and D'Shon Bernard have barely put a foot wrong tonight.

Wednesday had conceded four goals in each of their previous two games.

He's a nice guy and a really good kid, though.

Blues have really struggled to create anything of note this half.

It's a shame because Momo Diaby's done well for Wednesday. If you're going to be a defensive midfield player, you've got to be a nuisance and a pest.

He's also shown ability on the ball when the keeper bounces it to him. It's not the greatest surface on the planet to play on. If I've got my back to goal with a couple of opposition players closing me down, it's difficult.

Owls midfielder Momo Diaby is forced off with a knock.

The quality hasn't been good enough for Blues in the final third. You could understand it at Leicester, but Wednesday are down there for a reason.

Those fine margins haven't really gone our way.

This is my first sight of Paik Seung-ho. He's got a sure touch and looks positive in everything he does.

Birmingham boss Tony Mowbray looks pensive on the sidelines.

If this stays as it is then they could end the weekend precariously close to the relegation zone.

His side were so passive for that second Wednesday goal. Not the kind of defending you'd associate with a side managed by a former centre-back at all.

Blues are going to have to go for it now.

Jay Stansfield is straight into the action for the away side.

He does well to get by a Wednesday defender and tee up Jordan James but the young Wales international can't make solid contact and his effort is hacked away.

It's a big, horrible, spinning cross which goes over the keeper's head and drops under the crossbar.

Lee Buchanan has got no chance because Ike Ugbo is on top of him with a great jump.

What a relief that must be. It's all about game management now for Wednesday.
