    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

Here we go again - more of the same, please, from a neutral perspective!

  2. Postpublished at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    HT: Coventry 0-1 Millwall

Coventry have dominated the ball with 67% possession but have failed to make that count.

Their two shots on target from six compared to Millwall's four from five shots highlight where the difference has been between the two teams.

The away side have given Bradley Collins plenty to do in the Coventry goal but the Sky Blues will need to push Matija Sarkic a bit harder than they have so far.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto's effort forced a good save from the Millwall goalkeeper but that aside, he has not been worked enough - and the woodwork has not been kind to them!

  3. How did Sky Blues not score?!published at 12:59 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    HT: Coventry 0-1 Millwall

Coventry will be scratching their heads as to how they didn't score in that first half.

It was striker Haji Wright who came closest - hitting the post from close range, when he should've found the net, with the ball then ricocheting off Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga and on to the post again!

    Frantic stuff.

  4. 'Coventry were getting on top'published at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

Coventry had chances but only came into it in the second half of the first half. It was very uncomfortable for Coventry before that. The writing was on the wall in the first minute and Millwall deserved to go 1-0 up.

Haji Wright shot against the woodwork when it looked easier to put it in and that was Coventry's best chance, and there were lots of half-chances.

The break has come at a good time for Millwall; there is no doubt Coventry were on top in the second half of the first half.

  5. Coventry punished for missing chancespublished at 12:54 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

It has certainly been Coventry City's half at the CBS Arena - yet it is Millwall's scoreline.

The Sky Blues have certainly found out so far what happens when you don't take your chances.

Millwall have defended like... well, like Lions.

The atmosphere, already muted at kick-off time, now seems even more subdued.

A lot of disappointed muttering going on around me. It could be my choice of aftershave, I suppose? But I really think it's the scoreline!

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:48 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

Millwall clear the ball all the way to Bradley Collins and that is it for the first half.

The away side started brightly and deservedly took the lead through 18-year-old Romain Esse's deflected left-foot strike.

Michael Obafemi twice tested Collins in the Coventry goal but the Lions could not find the all-important second goal.

The hosts had several chances of their own, including Haji Wright's effort which twice hit the post and inexplicably stayed out. Victor Torp's free kick was later tipped on to the bar by Millwall keeper Matija Sarkic but the home side could not find the breakthrough.

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto uses some nice skill to get past the Millwall midfield and plays Callum O'Hare through down the right-hand side.

His cross finds Haji Wright in the box but he can't keep the header down and it's an easy catch for Matija Sarkic.

One minute to be added on.

  8. Edwards eager to ease the pressurepublished at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

    Steve Ogrizovic

Millwall boss Joe Edwards is talking to his team and trying to help them defensively. He wants Michael Obafemi and his forwards to give Millwall an "out ball" and ease some of the pressure.

Mark Robins' side have hit the woodwork three times in this half yet find themselves trailling to Romain Esse's opener.

He will be encouraged by the improvement his Sky Blues have made as the half has worn on but they have just lacked that killer instinct to get themselves back in the game so far.

  10. Postpublished at 40 min

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

The momentum has really swung in this game as we head towards the last five minutes of the half, all the play is in Millwall's half as the home side push for the equaliser.

  11. Lions 'treading water'published at 12:41 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

What a save by Millwall defender Wes Harding. That looked like it was heading for the top corner from Kasey Palmer.

It was a lovely move down the right and a great save, but not by the keeper.

Coventry have been a lot better in the last 10 minutes and playing in Millwall's half. Millwall look they are treading water at the moment.

  12. Postpublished at 36 min

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

Another chance for Coventry goes begging.

This time Victor Torp finds Callum O'Hare in the box, who slides it across to Kasey Palmer to hit. But a smart block by Wes Harding sends it behind for another corner.

Coventry have just upped the tempo of their passing and they're now starting to move the ball easier through the Millwall press.

Both sides have dropped 21 points from winning positions interestingly, so this one is still wide open.

  14. Coventry's best period of the gamepublished at 12:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Millwall had about five opportunities to get the ball clear then played themselves into trouble, and Coventry nearly made something from that. And then Jay Dasilva got round the back, and it was a good stop from the keeper.

This is the best period of the game for Coventry.

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

Coventry win another free-kick, this time about 30 yards out. It's Victor Torp again but this time they go short and work it out to Jay Dasilva on the left, whose cross is beaten away by Matija Sarkic.

A nice move from the home side, who have had all the ball in these last few minutes.

Millwall boss Joe Edwards will be very pleased with what he's seen so far from his side.

Coventry have had their chances but the Lions have been worth their lead, which could've been wider with some more clinical finishing.

But he will be aware of the Sky Blues threat, as they win a free-kick on the right-hand side which is taken by Victor Torp and headed away.

  17. 'There is some uncomfortable defending'published at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

This is a tough league. It's so difficult to predict. Coventry have already shown what a threat they can be and can easily get back in this game.

The problem is Millwall look like getting a second and are getting a really aggressive press on Coventry. They are working so hard off the ball; I'd be surprised if they can keep that up all game.

There is some uncomfortable defending and Coventry are second to the ball.

  18. Postpublished at 27 min

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

George Honeyman goes down under a challenge on the right-hand side, nothing doing for the referee though.

But Millwall win it back with Zian Flemming before Joe Bryan sends in the cross.

Millwall have applied so much pressure on the Coventry backline.

  19. Esse loves a big occasionpublished at 12:27 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at the CBS Arena

Millwall teenager Romain Esse must love playing at a certain size of stadium.

The 18-year-old's only previous goal was the match-winner at Middlesbrough on the opening day of the season.

Now, on only his second Championship start for the club, he has all but silenced the CBS Arena.

The Cov fans in Singers Corner had earlier taunted the comparatively meagre following of away fans by suggesting "You must have come in a taxi".

But, to be honest, for a Sunday noon kick-off, with no trains coming out of London at the required sort of hour, it's pretty decent - and they're now very glad they came. Whether by car, bus or taxi!

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 23 min

    Coventry 0-1 Millwall

The goalscorer Romain Esse is the first name in the book for kicking the ball away, after Millwall give away a free-kick in the middle of the park.

    Needless.
