    - Two early goals put MK Dons in control at Swindon, and the Dons are set to move level with Barrow in fifth, who are being held 1-1 at Salford.

    - Doncaster lead fellow strugglers Grimsby 2-1 at Blundell Park, while relegation-threatened Colchester lead at home to Accrington.

    - Second-bottom Forest Green Rovers behind away at Crawley.

    - Goalless in games at Wimbledon, Bradford, Crewe, and Newport.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Bolton 1-2 Charlton

    An upset on the cards?

Bolton went ahead through Victor Adeboyejo, but Charlton came roaring back to lead through Thierry Small and Lloyd Jones.

Could this be Nathan Jones' first win?

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Walsall 0-0 Mansfield

No goals for Mansfield in this first half - by contrast with the five they put past Harrogate in the opening 45 minutes on Tuesday.

It's not for want of trying though. Walsall goalkeeper Jackson Smith has been a very busy man in this first period - and for now, the Stags are on course to dislodge Stockport from top spot even with a point.

  4. 'The scoreline tells you there's lots to do'published at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    HT: Wrexham 1-0 Notts County

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Notts have dominated the game. They are against quality opposition, this is a difficult place to come. Wrexham will think they've won the lottery going into the second half. It's been incessant Notts pressure.

Notts can take loads of positives but the scoreline tells you there's lots to do.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Portsmouth 1-0 Reading

Portsmouth have been second best but lead thanks to Paddy Lane's strike.

A good afternoon so far for Pompey with rivals Bolton losing and Derby level at the break.

  6. League One updatepublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    #bbcefl

A flurry of goals to update you on as the clock ticks towards half time in the third tier. Barnsley's lead at Fleetwood didn't last long, that one is now 1-1.

Fellow promotion chasers Peterborough have gone ahead at home to Blackpool, and Northampton have doubled their lead at home to Bristol Rovers, with opening goal scorer Patrick Brough turning provider for Mitchell Pinnock.

The big game at the bottom is now all square, Cheltenham have pegged back Port Vale thanks to a Matt Taylor strike.

And a bit of history between Leyton Orient and Burton! George Moncur has scored the first ever league goal between the two sides.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Derby 0-0 Stevenage

Work to do for Derby who have offered little threat so far.

And they are lucky to be level thanks to Sonny Bradley's goalline clearance.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Wrexham 1-0 Notts County

Somehow, Notts County find themselves behind at the interval despite creating the bulk of the chances.

But the stat that matters is goals for - and on that basis Steven Fletcher's strike for Wrexham holds sway.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Tranmere 1-0 Stockport

For now, the teams are separated by Tom Davies' goal on the half-hour.

Nick Powell and Antoni Sarcevic both went close for the visitors before the break, but as it stands County are in danger of losing top spot this afternoon.

  10. League Two updatepublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    #bbcefl

No defeats for Karl Robinson in his first seven games in charge of Salford prior to today and it looks like that run will stretch to eight. The Ammies are one up against Barrow.

Noah Chilvers has put Colchester United ahead at home to Accrington. That goal is bad news for second-bottom Forest Green, who have gone behind at Crawley.

  11. goal

GOAL: Bolton 1-2 Charltonpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Lloyd Jones (40 mins)

    Wow!

Charlton are without an away win since Halloween but come back to lead at high-flying Bolton.

Karoy Anderson works a short corner to George Dobson, who picks out Lloyd Jones and he sweeps home from just outside the 18-yard box.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Derby 0-0 Stevenage

Superb from Joe Wildsmith to keep Stevenage out.

Jordan Roberts fastens onto a flick-on beyond the back post and the Rams stopper makes an excellent reaction save to push his effort away.

  13. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Wrexham 1-0 Notts County

Wrexham still lead, but Notts County certainly haven't looked disheartened by conceding.

David McGoldrick forces Arthur Okonkwo into another good save and the visitors have also hit the woodwork, with Jodi Jones' cross taking a deflection off a defender and grazing the post.

  14. goal

GOAL: Portsmouth 1-0 Readingpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Paddy Lane (36 mins)

    The leaders are ahead.

It's been an uncomfortable afternoon for John Mousinho's side but they show their clinical side.

Abu Kamara beats Michael Craig in the middle of the pitch and surges forward before laying the ball off for Paddy Lane whose powerful low shot is helped into the net by keeper David Button

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Walsall 0-0 Mansfield

It's only thanks to Saddlers keeper Jackson Smith that the scoresheet remains blank.

Smith pulls off a brilliant save with his legs to deny Will Swann and is straight back into the thick of the action to prevent Aden Flint from scoring at the far post just a minute later.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Derby 0-0 Stevenage

    What did I say?

Stevenage go close to the breakthrough as Jake Forster-Caskey's corner is almost turned into his own net by Curtis Nelson, before Sonny Bradley clears off the line.

    Phew.

  17. Postpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Derby 0-0 Stevenage

Derby have been a bit up and down at home in recent weeks and haven't really made their mark yet.

Half-an-hour gone and no serious attempts on goal as yet.

No attempts on target for either side yet. Now watch the game explode!

  18. goal

GOAL: Tranmere 1 Stockport 0published at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    (Tom Davies 30 mins)

Rovers take the lead as Brad Walker's free-kick is converted by skipper Tom Davies!

It's a third goal of the season for the Tranmere defender - and they've won both of the previous games he's found the net in.

Still a long way to go though.

  19. League One updatepublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    #bbecfl

Early substitution in the game between Wycombe and Oxford. Why is that relevant you ask? It's because the change in question concerns referee Simon Mather, who has had to be replaced by Fourth Official Marc Wilson due to injury.

A couple of goals to update you on too. Sam Cosgrove has put high-flying Barnsley 1-0 up away at Fleetwood, and Darren Moore's tenure as Port Vale manager is off to a good start, Vale have taken the lead against Cheltenham thanks to Nathan Smith.

  20. Postpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2024

    Walsall 0-0 Mansfield

Still no goals, but you feel Mansfield might be getting closer...

Will Swan should probably have scored in a one-on-one situation, but put his finish wide and Stephen Quinn is also off target with a header.

With that said, the Saddlers have just gone close too - the two Gordons combining as Josh heads Liam's cross narrowly over.
