And another one... Josh Eccles races onto a headed clearance from George Fowler and fires in a vicious volley from well outside the area which Lucas Covolan moves to his right to gather.

Coventry haven't scored in 41 minutes and they want to change that, it's clear.

    Ben Watts
    BBC Radio Kent

We were hoping this to be another massive win for Maidstone but it has actually gone to how the script probably should run.

Sixth-tier sides should not be beating Championship opposition really.

  3. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Fabio Tavares shows off some flashy footwork to buy himself a yard of space on the edge of the box and fires in a powerful drive towards the near post which Lucas Covolan is able to get behind and pat down once again.

  4. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Now then, Coventry have gone seven matches without a clean sheet at home... can Maidstone find a consolation, at least, to keep that run going in the final 20-odd minutes?

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 69 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Raphe Brown, Harry Kyprianou and Liam Sole are withdrawn by Maidstone boss George Elokobi.

Club captain Gavin Hoyte, Bivesh Gurung, hero of the round two win over Barrow, and Chi Ezennolim are on for the final 20 minutes and change.

You would expect him to score goals at this level, and he has done that.

It will do worlds of good for his confidence.

The first were good finishes, the third a tap in, but you have still got to be there to score it.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 66 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Ellis Simms, hat-trick hero, Kasey Palmer and Victor Torp are withdrawn by Mark Robins. Job well and truly done.

Good news for Maidstone? Well... erm, Josh Eccles, once of Gillingham, Matt Godden, born in Kent, and Milan van Ewijk are introduced.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 65 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

One for the cameras from Lucas Covolan as Sam Corne is robbed in his own half and the ball is played to Kasey Palmer on the left of the area.

He opens his body up to curl towards the far post but it's too close to the Brazilian who beats the ball away.

  9. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Reiss Greenidge concedes a free-kick in a dangerous area - 'better than a corner,' they used to say!

Victor Torp whips the set-piece underneath the crossbar from the left but Manny Duku clears with his head - he's done some good work in the box tonight, sadly for Maidstone it's his own box and not the City one.

More pressure from Maidstone but Coventry are equal to everything they have thrown at them so far.

Fabio Tavares looks to punish them on the break but can only skew well wide of the post after a lovely touch and run into the right of the area.

Of course it was Oldham where George Elokobi and Liam Kelly were team-mates in 2014-15, not Maidstone's rivals Ebbsfleet, as we mentioned earlier. Stones fans wouldn't have enjoyed that confusion, apologies.

  11. Samba skills from the 'keeperpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

The 'keeper is Brazilian after all.

    Brilliant piece of skill that.

Whatever level you play at these days, goalkeepers have to be decent with their feet.

  12. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

After winning zero corners at Ipswich, Maidstone have a second. Sam Corne whips it in from the left with his right foot and finds the head of 6ft 6ins Reiss Greenidge at the far post but City are able to clear their lines.

  13. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Jake Bidwell's cross from the left is met by the head of Ellis Simms but his arching effort loops comfortably into the arms of Lucas Covolan.

The game is becoming a little stretched as Maidstone seem keen to attack but are also presumably tiring a tad.

  14. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Harry Kyprianou wins Maidstone's first corner of the match - and their first against a Championship side ever - with a cut-back from the left which was charged down.

Coventry are able to clear their lines but the ball comes back to Lamar Reynolds on the left of the box who takes a slightly heavy touch before lashing an angled strike into the side netting.

Something for the Maidstone fans to get behind, at least!

The easiest hat-trick Ellis Simms will ever score as Kasey Palmer put them all on a plate for him.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 49 mins

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

Callum O'Hare wants in on this action, it's plain to see...

Some quick feet in the Maidstone box send him through but his snap-shot is straight at Lucas Covolan who is able to pat the ball down and gather.

  17. 'Top scorers in the competition?'published at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

    Matt Cole
    BBC Radio Kent

Nearly 5,000 (away fans), a complete sell-out here again.

Maidstone showed some signs in the first half, they just need to show a little more bravery, maybe get their shots off a little earlier.

They could still end up being the top scorers in the competition, having played the most number of games.

I am not going to start the eulogies yet as the game ain't over, but let us hope for a couple of attacks here, maybe even a goal to get the crowd going.

  18. Postpublished at 48 mins

'3-0 but hugely proud of our club'

That's the message on social media from Stones co-owner Oliver Ash at half-time. Along with a smattering of emojis too of course.

The dream might not be over just yet, but it's nearly time to wake up...

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    HT: Coventry 3-0 Maidstone

The Maidstone players are back out and had a little warm-up before the second half.

Callum O'Hare is coming on for Coventry with Haji Wright making way.

O'Hare and Palmer - could be a long 45 minutes for Maidstone.
