There's been a half-time DJ blasting tunes during the break at Brisbane Road.

The crowd weren't short of energy in the first 45 minutes but, on the pitch, there seemed to be something lacking, for both teams.

Let's see if the second half can spark into life.

  4. 'I'm proud of the girls and the effort they put in'published at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    FT: Everton 0-1 Chelsea

    Everton

Everton boss Brian Sorensen speaking after his side's 1-0 defeat by Chelsea: "I think we dominated in the first half. We were good in all aspects of the game and should have taken advantage of it in the first half with the number of opportunities.

"We created two clear penalties they just don’t give them. Second half we ran a bit out of energy and nearly got the equaliser. I’m a bit unhappy with the goal but overall I’m proud of the girls and the effort they put in. That’s why it bothers me that we gave them an easy goal when we were sleeping. You just can’t do that."

On Everton's penalty appeals: "They are massive. We should have been 1-0 or 2-0 going into half-time. There’s nothing I can do about that now, it’s just frustrating."

On upcoming games: "I’m looking forward to all the next games. If we can keep the squad healthy and injury-free while also getting some back we can have a bit more consistency, I think there’s a lot in this group."

  5. 'We were sluggish in everything we did'published at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    FT: Everton 0-1 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes reflects on the 1-0 win over Everton: "I think you can tell we’ve had a lot of games in quick succession. Third away game in a week, I thought we were sluggish in everything we did.

"Outstanding to get the result, the difference for us was Cat Macario and that little bit of class. I thought Everton played well and probably deserved more from the game, but this is what you have to do. You have to grind results out. We did just about enough today."

On Aggie Beever-Jones' involvement in Chelsea's goal: "I think she put in a good shift. She got better in the second half and it was a really good dribble from her inside the box and a brilliant cut back to Cat. It was the one bit of quality we needed to win the game. We took it and you have to credit the players that have played three games in a week. They have done a tremendous job playing three games and Musovic made an outstanding save to keep us in the game."

On the quadruple still being possible: "Not thinking about it. Need to recover quickly. It took its toll on us that game today."

  6. 'It’s tough to take, we ran them really close'published at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    FT: Everton 0-1 Chelsea

    Everton

Everton captain Megan Finnigan speaking after her side exited the FA Cup: "It’s really disappointing for us to be honest. I actually thought especially first half we probably dominated and that’s probably the only time against Chelsea I can think of where we limited them to very few chances. We just didn’t convert ours. It’s tough to take, we ran them really close."

On if she felt decisions went against her side: "We still created enough to win the game. Every week decisions seem to be going against us and that’s unfortunate. But we created enough to win the game.

"We should have capitalised on our first half because we knew they could make changes and that they would become a bit more aggressive which they did. We still pushed to the end, they looked like they were on the ropes and we can take confidence from that but ultimately we are out of the competition so it’s disappointing right now."

  7. 'We struggled a bit'published at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    FT: Everton 0-1 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea goalscorer Catarina Macario speaking after the game: "It was a tough game. We struggled a little bit. Everton had a lot of chances but I do think that when we made the changes and after half-time we came out really well and came out with the win which is the most important thing."

On her goal: "Honestly it was all Aggie. She just made a run and was tremendous in getting rid of her marker and all I had to do was tap it in really. That was the easy part, it was all her."

On her return to action: "It’s my second game. Very happy to have scored and to be contributing to the win and making a good impact on the team. It feels amazing and I hope to keep that form going."

On Chelsea's quadruple hopes: "Obviously that’s the goal. That’s the Chelsea standard but at the end of the day we have to take it day by day and game by game and do our job every single day and go from there."

    FT: Everton 0-1 Chelsea

If you didn't follow our coverage earlier, you may not know that Chelsea edged past a spirited Everton to seal their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals and ensure that their quest for a quadruple remains on.

We heard from both managers and players from either side, and it seems only fitting that we start with match-winning substitute Catarina Macario...

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    Tottenham 0-1 Man City

So far, so good for Manchester City.

Mary Fowler's deflected effort separates the sides at the break in a match that has, in all honesty, been lacking in quality.

    Great goalkeeping.

The high press is something that Gareth Taylor's side are relentless with, and they win the ball high up once more.

However, as has been the case on too many occasions this half, from a Blue perspective, the final ball has been lacking.

    Finally, Spurs show their teeth.

An incisive ends in Ashleigh Neville receiving the ball on the edge of the box but she is crowded out.

It may not have resulted in a shot on goal, but that was better from the hosts.

Another good opportunity for City with Lauren Hemp breaking down that left once again.

The England international again tries to stab a cross into the box but it evades Bunny Shaw.

The visitors are exploiting space in that left channel at will.

With Chelsea and Manchester United potential opponents in the semi-finals, Manchester City will be keen to progress this afternoon.

So far so good for Gareth Taylor's side, but there have been glimpses of Tottenham's threat in behind.

  17. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Man City

Filippa Angeldahl bursts into the box and hooks a cross low to the front post, where Bunny Shaw is lurking.

The striker connects with it but can't quite direct it back across the goal and it goes out for a goal kick. Another warning sign for Tottenham, who haven't really got going yet.

For all of Man City's dominance, it certainly isn't getting the home crowd down.

"Come on you Spurs rings out", as the Tottenham fans look to energise their players as they search for a leveller.

Jess Naz tries to break down the left for the Whites and Mary Fowler dispossesses her before winning a free-kick cleverly.

Moments later, Spencer is tested again, but does well to get down to her left and turn the ball away.

Celin Ildhusøy takes down Lauren Hemp as she looks to find room on the outside of the box and is cautioned for her troubles.

Frustration is just starting to creep in for Spurs, who are struggling to deal with the well-oiled machine that is City.
