Ceri Holland has already been sent off twice this season for double bookings and she's always got a bit of bite in her.

That early yellow - which was deserved - will mean she needs to be very careful for the next 75 minutes.

It's been a bit cagey so far. Both teams are well organised in defence and there hasn't been much width.

Both managers have been on the edge of the dugout since kick-off and the fourth official has her work cut out keeping them within their boxes!

    • Everton are unbeaten in their last four Women's Super League games against Liverpool (W3, D1) – their joint longest such streak – and could do a league double over the Reds for the second time after the 2012 season.
    • Sophie Haug is Liverpool’s top scorer in the WSL this season with five goals. She has scored in her last two league matches for the Reds and is looking to score in three consecutive league matches for the first time in her Liverpool career.
    • Only Natasha Dowie (9) and Nikita Parris (3) have scored more WSL goals in the Merseyside derby than Everton’s Megan Finnigan (2) who has scored in two of her last three league appearances against the Reds.
    • Everton manager Brian Sorensen is unbeaten in his three WSL matches against Liverpool – winning twice and drawing the other. In fact, Liverpool are the team he has faced the joint-most amount of times without losing in the competition (W2 D1 v Tottenham).
    • Liverpool are unbeaten in their last four WSL matches, scoring in all four matches (W3 D1). The last time the Reds went unbeaten in five matches in the competition was between April and May 2017 under Scott Rogers (run of six).
    • Three of Everton’s last four victories have seen them keep a clean sheet (1-0 v Liverpool in October, 2-0 v West Ham in December & 1-0 v West Ham in February). However, in the 13 matches the Toffees have conceded in this season, they’ve gone on to lose 10 times, draw twice and win just once (2-1 v Aston Villa).
    • Liverpool have won three of their last four away games in the WSL (L1), more victories than across their previous 25 games on the road in the competition (W2 D7 L16); the Reds haven’t won three straight away from home since September 2013 (4 in a row).

The derby is a different game, it is all about today.

The league isn't looking as good on paper for Everton compared to Liverpool, but anything can happen in a derby. We saw it in the reverse fixture Everton won 1-0 at Anfield.

In a Merseyside derby anything goes.

Leanne Kiernan has had a torrid time with injuries in recent years but seems to be getting back to her best.

The Republic of Ireland striker Kiernan was able to mark St Patrick's Day with a simple finish for her first WSL goal of the season last weekend in a 3-1 win over West Ham.

    Everyone remembers derby day goalscorers.

When you walk around the outskirts of Goodison Park, you see a timeline of the men's team's history.

The first image is in 1984, when Graeme Sharp scored a "spectacular Anfield winner".

This is likely to be the last time the women's team play at Goodison Park and the Everton players will be keen to write their own history.

But Liverpool are out to spoil the party. Matt Beard's side are in good form and could overtake Manchester United with a win today.

Striker Leanne Kiernan told me she has already imagined herself scoring against the Blues at Goodison Park.

"Of course. If I didn’t I’d be worried," she added. "My parents are coming so I’m really looking forward to it.

"I always spot them in the crowd beforehand so when I need to celebrate, I know where they are.

"We’re all confident, we know the task and it’s up to us at the end of the day because we have all the tools to perform."

Everton have had a stranglehold on the Merseyside derby in the Women's Super League - but has the time finally come for Liverpool to turn the tables?

The two fierce rivals go head-to-head this Sunday at Goodison Park with Liverpool having picked up twice as many points as Everton this season.

Matt Beard's side sit fifth in the table, four places above the Blues, who have caused them headaches recently with three successive wins at Anfield - including a 1-0 victory in October.

Everton striker Rikke Madsen joined in January but she has already seen first-hand what a derby day looks like in Merseyside.

"It’s actually crazy. At the beginning you couldn’t even get a hotel room because everything had been booked with people coming to watch the games," she told BBC Sport.

"I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere myself. When it has been derby games on the men’s side, people have been walking around the city with their shirts on all day. You can tell this is a football city."

I walked up to Goodison Park from the city centre and there were plenty of red and blue shirts on the way.

Half-and-half scarves were still on sale - just like at yesterday's Manchester derby - but I didn't spot anyone wearing one thankfully!
