I love LJ at Chelsea but not sure she fits in with England's style of play, she doesn't move the ball quickly enough

Morgan having a good game. She has lots of potential, hopefully Sarina plays her more regularly

    Big save!

England have a corner after Austria knock the ball behind when Lauren James tries to run through on the right-hand side.

Beth Mead sends the delivery into the middle of the box, it's met by Maya Le Tissier, but her effort is parried away by Manuela Zinsberger.

    Oooh. Another promising chance.

A tempting ball is curled towards Ella Toone in the middle of the Austria box, but it's just too far in front of her for her to connect with it.

It's knocked back by a deflection off of an Austria defender, but Toone pokes her effort wide of the far post.

Elsewhere, Spain are beating the Netherlands 2-0 and France are beating Germany 2-0 in the Women's Nations League semi-finals at half-time in those games.

As a reminder, two teams qualify alongside Olympic hosts France. Spain are heading to Paris as things stand while it will go down to the third-place playoff to see who else progresses.

Continuing Maya-watch, slightly frustrating that she's playing a tad conservatively, seems to not want to put a foot wrong in a slightly unfamiliar position to playing CB past 2 seasons. When she arrived at United, having played RB for Brighton, her range of crossfield passing was sensational...but this season less so as part of general United struggles. I'd like her to be a bit more ambitious to give Sarina food for thought to disrupt Bronze as a shoe-in RB started with Carter as deputy. This is why its hurting Maya's international chances to playing CB for club when Sarina doesnt fancy her at CB for country.

The Austria goal was pretty poor from England's point of view.

It initially came from a lack of support for Alex Greenwood when she was on the ball, and she then ended up giving away an unnecessary corner.

Then the corner itself, for me Georgia Stanway is in a good position on the front post, but then she gets too close to Hannah Hampton. If she stayed on the post she probably heads it away.

It was poor marking in the end too.

  13. 'The perfect debut for Grace Clinton so far'published at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February

    Karen Carney
Former England midfielder on ITV 1

It is always good to see a young player come into the side and bring that energy and look like they are having a good time.

This has been the perfect debut for Grace Clinton so far. She hasn't shied away from getting onto the ball, nice tidy turns, she is strong, holds off challenges.

Her goal is a perfect goal from England's point of view. Fast build up play, great wing play and Clinton is exactly where you want your attacking midfielder to be, chasing in at the back post.

Silly goal for England to concede after that Greenwood error but clearly set pieces are something we need to work on. However, link up play and work rate when regaining possession after losing it has been impressive. You can tell these girls are really working hard for their places in this team. Good to see.
