Tomorrow, Celtic have the chance to leapfrog Rangers at the top of the table when they visit Tynecastle.

"We started really well, got on the front foot," says delighted Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell. "We get in front and then showed great composure and resilience. We suffered really well.

"The last segment almost feels like a different game, when you go into eight minutes of injury time and you need to put your body on the line. Emergency defending, I call it, which takes a different talent and awareness."

On the Dan Casey challenge that upset Philippe Clement, Kettlewell says: "For me it's 60-40 in his favour. He didn't even receive a yellow card. We would never wish injury on anybody."

And on the Rangers penalty award, he thinks "it's of the real soft variety".

St Johnstone manager Craig Levein tells BBC Scotland: "We would have been as well not even using the ball today, just fighting. It was just a scrap.

"Both teams are fighting for their survival, it's not surprising it was a competitive match.

"It's a big point for us. Nicky's [Clark] got that canny ability to find the space in the penalty spot. Nicky does what he does best and that's put the ball in the back of the net.

"We lacked calmness today. I think shouting at people when they're lacking calmness doesn't really help. We showed up for a fight and forgot to play."

Philippe Clement was also unhappy with the tackle from Dan Casey that forced Ross McCausland off in the first half. The Motherwell defender avoided a booking for the challenge and went on to score the winning goal, of course.

"There was too much intensity in that tackle and he caught him," Clement tells BBC Scotland. "We have had a few red cards with less intensity than that. These kinds of tackles are just too dangerous.

"It is up to referees to protect players."

Ross County manager Don Cowie tells BBC Scotland: "I thought we defended very well. The game swung on an error from our goalkeeper. He's held his hands up.

"To that point I was happy with how we were playing, the crowd were starting to get a bit quiet. So it was disappointing the timing of it.

"But we still had enough time to get back in the game. Eamonn has a chance he could take on another day.

"But again I see plenty of positives from my team.

"I'm seeing a team working ever so hard. I would like to see more quality at times but we now have a 10-day period until the next game so it's up to me to work on that until then.

"We could have looked after the ball a bit better and caused them more problems. We have players technically who can do that.

"It's just about giving them the freedom and belief to go and do it.

"There are still plenty of points to play for. As long as we make sure we're in there fighting to stay in this league, that's all I can ask from the team."

Hibernian manager Nick Montgomery tells BBC Scotland: "We more than deserved three points. We made it a little bit hard for ourselves at times, we created a lot of opportunities and could have made it really comfortable.

"But fair play to Ross County, they put a lot of men behind the ball and it was difficult to break them down.

"Second half, it was just about having a little bit more composure. After Myazine got the first goal we could have scored a few more and it was nice to score the second goal and get some minutes into boys legs who haven't played much the last week.

"It's been a massive effort from everybody, we set out to get nine points and should have got nine points. We got seven and I'm proud of the team.

"What you have to do is put the ball in the back of the net. That's let us down over the course of the season.

"There have been many games we've dominated but if you don't put your chances away you're always open to a sucker punch.

"We've had plenty of sucker punches for many different reasons. I thought today was a very professional performance."

Philippe Clement is not for blaming his players for the shock defeat at home to Motherwell.

"They gave everything," the Rangers manager tells BBC Scotland. "We missed efficiency today in both boxes."

Clement said there were mistakes by "players who were doing well last week, being very solid, the best defence in the league".

"On the other side, Motherwell made several good saves, blocks in front of goal - It was one of those days," he said.

"We had a disappointing evening because luck was not on our side. We have to move on and hope the luck is on our side next time."

Rangers went on an incredible run after losing the last Old Firm match. They need the same kind of response.

It went against Rangers today and it's about how you bounce back.

"Now you get to know players better," says a disappointed Philippe Clement. "Everything has been positive but to be a really good team you have to stand up after a setback."

It's a huge three points for Hibs. It took a mistake to break the deadlock when Wickens spilled it and Maolida was there in a flash to score.

St Mirren and Kilmarnock look pretty comfortable in the top half of the table but there is a hell of a storm brewing for that last place.

Hibs occupy sixth spot now, but Dundee are one point behind and Motherwell are just two behind the Easter Road side.

For the third time this league season, a late goal meant Dundee and 10-man Kilmarnock drew 2-2 in the Scottish Premiership.

Luke McCowan's penalty following Lewis Mayo's red card looked certain to have given Tony Docherty a win over his former boss Derek McInnes, only for Robbie Deas to level in injury time.

Will Dennis' unlucky own goal had given the hosts the lead early on before Marley Watkins equalised initially with a tap-in from four yards out.

Despite the late leveller, Kilmarnock drop to fifth after St Mirren's victory over Aberdeen. Dundee remain seventh.
