Lazio need to get their heads around it, remember it is essentially only 1-0. They need to get a goal, just one goal and they are level.

If Bayern get a third goal however I can't see them turning that around.

Oh, for the reintroduction of the away goals rule! In the old days, just one Lazio breakaway goal would send them through, making for great theatre and a stadium on edge.

    Neil, New Brighton

Love to see it. Kane shutting his haters down yet again. I'll never understand why so many enjoy his misfortune. Best all round striker of our time.

First of all I cannot believe it is not offside. Thomas Muller heads the ball on the way through!

It is a great hit from Matthijs de Ligt, but Muller gets in there. How quick did they check that goal? It was very, very tight.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

Professional stuff from the Parisians. A dreamy goal from their soon to be departing superstar and they're well on the way to the last eight.

Bayern Munich snatches a second right before the break!

A fantastic volley by Matthijs de Ligt looks to be heading in but Thomas Muller leaps to nod in and make sure.

Bayern Munich now lead 2-1 on aggregate and have turned this tie around.

Why not! Fantastic effort from a mile out by Takefusa Kubo for Real Sociedad, hit it like a dream but it cut away just wide of the top corner.

That would have made life interesting.

A booking, and a costly one for PSG defender Achraf Hakimi. That's him banned for the first leg of the quarter-finals should they get through.

Lazio have to get to half time without conceding another goal. If Bayern get a second here it could be a long old night for them.

Bayern players congratulate Kane.Image source, Getty Images

Just three or four minutes ago the satdium went quite, a bit dull. Manuel Neuer came out of his goal and got the crowd going again and Bayern picked up the tempo again.

Eventually the ball comes to Harry Kane, it is a tiny half chance. He gets his head on it, redirects it into the net. Immobile missed at one end and Kane scores at the other.

    Game on now, 1-1.

It had to be Harry Kane!

Fantastic noise inside the stadium as Thomas Muller heads the ball back to Raphael Guerreiro, who scuffs his shot but Kane reacts superbly to adjust and fire in what is a huge goal for Bayern Munich.

They are now level in the tie and have the crowd behind them as they push for the winner.

  20. CLOSE!published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March

    Bayern Munich 0-0 Lazio

    Huge chance for Lazio!

Matthijs de Ligt flicks on a cross that ends up falling nicely for Ciro Immobile to head in at the far post, but he glances it wide.

Immobile had to do better there, but a big warning for Bayern. If Lazio score, I struggle to see Bayern getting the three goals they'd need.
