It's very clear that Mattia Zaccagni has the pace on Joshua Kimmich.

He is not a young man any more Kimmich, so that could be an issue as the game develops for Bayern. He cannot keep pace.

Lazio are not just sitting deep and defending here. They get forward quickly when they have the ball and have had a couple of corners before a great block by Eric Dier prevents Matías Vecino getting a shot on goal.

No matter how often you see it the outright pace of Kylian Mbappe still staggers you. He takes on his man on the left and skins him with ease before cutting back a cross which Bradley Barcola slams against Alex Remiro in the Real net. The goalkeeper didn't know much about it but that's a top save!

Lovely footwork by Jamal Musiala to get away from two Lazio players but his burst forward is halted just in time by Matías Vecino.

PSG start as favourites but interestingly this is the 10th time they have gone into the second leg of a Champions League knockout stage game ahead on aggregate and they have only managed to progress from five of those ties.

Hamari Traore is back on at right-back for Real Sociedad by the way and here come the hosts again, a great ball in by Sheraldo Becker is nodded out for a corner in nervy fashion.

There is a constant overlap on that right-hand side, with Leroy Sane coming inside on his left foot.

Lorenzo Pellegrini is constantly having those two on ones against him, Maurizio Sarri will need to address that quickly because if not that will be a real problem for them.

Bayern Munich have the first shot on target as the ball is worked to Leroy Sane on the right side of the area, but his shot is straight at the goalkeeper.

A first sight of goal for the ever dangerous Kylian Mbappe, he plays a neat one-two with Fabian Ruiz on the edge of the area before hoisting a shot well over the top.

Bayern have had most of the play so far, only twice Lazio have gotten out of their half. One was a long ball forward and the other quite a slick break, it looks like this is the way the game is going to go.

Lazio are going to just sit in this formation now and the game will set into this sort of pattern.

A very early injury problem for the hosts as Hamari Traore falls awkwardly and looks to have done something to his shoulder. He's off for some running repairs.

Lazio are quite happy to let Bayern have the ball and are set up to try and catch them on the counter.

Joshua Kimmich sends the ball into the box with Harry Kane his target but the delivery is headed away.

Kylian Mbappe is right through the middle up front for PSG tonight with Lucas Hernandez, often a full-back, at centre-half. Good tempo to the opening moments.

The Bayern fans are doing their part. Incredible atmosphere.
