The icing on the cake for Arsenal, it has been a brilliant performance.

Again the goal coming from Brighton giving the ball away in a central area - Leandro Trossard had a lot of time to think.

Fantastic composure and a brilliant dink over the goalkeeper.

    Lovely finish!

Brighton are caught in possession and Leandro Trossard is sent through against his former club. He races into the box before clipping a delightful finish over Bart Verbruggen.

The points are very much in the bag.

On Brighton registering the highest profit in the Premier League...

It's taken Brighton a fair bit of time to get it to this point, but it is a well run club.

Roberto De Zerbi will want to know what the plan is for next season, it has been a tough season for them in the league especially with the nine injuries.

And they have lost two midfields like Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister.

None of these results matter. Doesn't matter if Arsenal win all their games. Doesn't matter if City win all their games. It's in Liverpool's hands. Simple as that really. Whoever blinks first loses

Arsenal could've scored more, but I have been impressed with their defence who have controlled this Brighton team.

Brighton have looked threatening at times, but the way Arsenal have controlled them without possession is equally impressive.

I don't think Arsenal's defence gets enough credit - they just don't concede. Their record since Christmas is ridiculous

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

This will be a 10th win for Arsenal in their last 11 Premier League games. Incredible form from the Gunners and there's no suggestion of them letting up. The fact they can look this comfortable against a tricky Brighton side is testament to that.

As a long standing fan of static Man Utd I must say that Arsenal are a beautiful team to watch. While City & Liverpool maybe have the edge in individual match winners, the fluidity of movement and overall team play of Arsenal is a joy to watch.

    Dave, Stockport

This Arsenal team is hungry. If they do not win the league then they will be unlucky. So much different to last season. They are a superb unit of balance between attack and defence.

  19. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Not far off a third for Arsenal as Leandro Trossard charges towards goal, cuts inside and then his low strike is pushed behind by Bart Verbruggen.

Twenty minutes to go and this has felt pretty comfortable for Arsenal, but a goal for Brighton will make for a tense closing stages.

Always like the addition of folk in fancy dress at football but must feel a tad awkward when your side loses and you end up wandering off down the road looking like sad seagulls.
