Liverpool 0-1 Crystal Palace
Well, I don't reckon that is the reaction Jurgen Klopp was looking for when he said his side needed to produce one following the defeat in midweek.
All he could say was 'wow'.

I'm just looking at Jurgen Klopp's reaction. I'm a good lip-reader, he's gone 'wow.' It's a really good move from Palace, nine or 10 passes, cut back to Eze. Down Palace's left-hand side, they are getting a lot of joy. Bradley is roaming and wandering and they have been punished. Endo is not picking up, Van Dijk is not picking up. Konate is ball-watching. It's a wonderful goal.
Eberechi Eze (14 mins)
Oh dear oh dear.
Some lovely passing and movement around the area from Crystal Palace and it's all too easy for the visitors.
Tyrick Mitchell cuts back from the left-hand side and Eberechi Eze was in acres of space eight-yards out with no red shirts picking him up.
He picks his spot and slots home. What a start!
West Ham 0-1 Fulham
Could easily be 2-0 at the London Stadium as Andreas Pereira charges down to pick up the loose ball on the edge of the area but can't get his shot on target.

Endo is so important in this formation. Your number six is always important. Palace have actually started quite brightly so far.
Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace
Liverpool have had a bit of a shaky start but are starting to find their rhythm as they enjoy a stint of possession around the Crystal Palace area.
Andreas Pereira (9 mins)
Well it's been all West Ham so far but Konstantinos Mavropanos goes to clear and ends up giving the ball away right in front of goal.
Andreas Pereira is alert to the situation, he picks it up and cuts in on his left foot to get round keeper Lukasz Fabiankski before hammering into an empty net.

Liverpool have to earn the right to win this game. Pressure is a privilege.
West Ham 0-0 Fulham
The corner drops for Lucas Paqueta in space just inside the area and he tries to curl it into the top corner with his the outside of his left boot but it crashes into the side netting.
West Ham 0-0 Fulham
West Ham have a free-kick. It's some way out but James Ward-Prowse bends it in and Antonee Robinson heads behind for a corner.

That's not the start Liverpool wanted. A little bit sluggish already, but Alisson was really sharp off his line.
Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace
Liverpool have a bit of defending to do early doors as it's Crystal Palace who start the brighter of the two.
Eberechi Eze's shot is tame, though, and easily gathered by Alisson. A nerve-settler for the Brazilian, perhaps.
West Ham 0-0 Fulham
Early chance for West Ham to take the lead.
Vladimir Coufal takes a really good touch and rides the wave of a couple of Fulham defenders. Bernd Leno comes out to parry the shot away but it falls to Michail Antonio who skies it over the bar.

It's really important Liverpool don't drop many more points after the 2-2 last week and their shock defeat in midweek. Having Alisson back will be massive for them.
Off we go in East London and, after an impeccably observed silence, on Merseyside.

Tomorrow marks 35 years since the Hillsborough disaster.
Tributes are planned at Anfield with a special display on the Kop and flowers being laid at the memorial throughout the morning.
A minute's silence will be observed before kick off.

I think Mo Salah needs a bit of support. Darwin Nunez provided an assist against Manchester United and the this front three compliments each other really well. We all agree they are going to win, but it is a case of how they are going to win. I think this is a more balanced midfield three, regardless of what you think of Endo and I think Liverpool have missed Curtis Jones as time this season.
A glorious day in East London with the sun shining. Up north it's still big coat weather.

To win the league Liverpool would likely need several high-scoring wins. Their average of 2.32 goals per game would very likely be insufficient.

Almost time to see if Liverpool really will produce a reaction to that defeat in midweek.
