Latest PostGoodnight!
Well, what a match.
Jude Bellingham thought he'd won it for Real Madrid when he headed in deep into added time. But the referee had already blown his whistle for full-time in the build-up to the attack and the goal did not count.
Dramatic scenes ensued with the England midfielder sent off as Real Madrid's players surrounded the referee.
I'm sure that will be a talking point heading into the latter stages of the season as Los Blancos continue their title charge. Could it affect their chances of a 36th La Liga trophy? We shall see.
Thanks for joining us, goodnight!
What drama

Real Madrid remain top of the league after that result but Girona will see that as the door being slightly ajar. They could close the gap to four points with victory over Mallorca on Sunday.
Next up for Real Madrid it's RB Leipzig in the Champions League as they aim to reach the quarter-finals. They lead 1-0 from the first leg in Germany.

Jude Bellingham receives a red card for dissent after the final whistle. That is very disappointing for the England midfielder, who was making his first appearance this evening after three games sidelined with an ankle injury.
What a match - drama, drama, drama.

How big could that prove to be in the context of the title race?
Looking at the replay it could well be Bellingham who got the red card after that incident, he was absolutely fuming with the referee.

It was quite difficult to tell who was actually involved in that horrid tackle but it is in fact Mouctar Diakhaby who looks to have a suffered a serious injury there.
He's carried off on a stretcher. We wish him all the best.
