With Dylan Vente picking up a knock, January arrival Emiliano Marcondes takes on the striking role, with Myziane Maolida and Martin Boyle either side of him.

Visiting manager Philippe Clement highlighted the impact of some of Hibs' winter window signings.

Hibernian boss Nick Montgomery tells BBC Scotland: "It's an opportunity to get to a semi-final. We're in a good run of form. We'll give it everything we've got.

"Performances lately have shown we can compete with everyone. We're talking about probably the best team in the league at the moment in Rangers."

"I'm really looking forward to seeing Chris Cadden back. He's a fantastic player, we've missed him. He's ready to go.

"Emiliano [Marcondes] is a striker and replaces Dylan Vente. [Nectarios] Triantis comes in a three-man midfield. I think we can hurt them as well."

  6. Rangers 'hungry' for semi-final - Clementpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    Philippe ClementImage source, SNS

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "We need the same level [from Thursday], but in a different way. I don't expect the same XI to finish the game, so it's less about who starts.

"I see more and more a team that knows what it is to be winners. We had to dig in deep in Lisbon. Everyone had to be on their toes because it's a higher level than we're used to playing.

"Everyone is hungry to go to this semi-final. We want to win everything, that's always our ambition.

"We know it's going to be a tough game against a Hibs team that have had all week to prepare. The new guys they have brought in, they bring something extra to the team."

  7. Rodgers hails 'fantastic' Maedapublished at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    FT: Celtic 4-2 Livingston

Of course, hat-trick hero Daizen Maeda was also picked out for praise by Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

"The right side of our team is where the creative spark came from and the left side finished it off," he adds.

"His movement, his runs, his anticipation was great. His movement and desire to get in and score was fantastic."

  8. Rodgers praises Livi - and own side's 'drive'published at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    Brendan RodgersImage source, SNS

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers appears relieved just to have got through a difficult tie without key players Callum McGregor and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

"We got ourselves into the semi-final and you can see the players we had missing and the difference that makes," he tells BBC Scotland.

"But you've still got to show that mentality and that drive and that ambition to keep wanting to get there.

"Also a big credit to Livingston because it's been a really difficult year for David and his team, but they came here and they fought and made us work right to the very end to get to the semi-final."

  9. Martindale hopes for 'belief' after narrow defeatpublished at 17:09 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March

    FT: Celtic 4-2 Livingston

    David MartindaleImage source, SNS

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "It was a good game, but it was disappointing at the same time because I thought we had a wee opportunity.

"We get sucker-punched into the third goal. Fourth goal, I'm not really too fussed about. We just threw caution to the wind.

"It's probably one of the few occasions we've come here and we've genuinely been in the game. I think we genuinely had the opportunity to win the game today and posed a threat.

"We gave them too much territory after the second goal. We were value for money and the players stuck to the shape."

On whether the performances gives him hope for Premiership survival, he adds: "I've never not had that hope personally. We've got some big players coming back over the next two weeks. I've always thought we can stay in the league.

"I'm not going to sit here and lie, it's been a painful season. The players have got to take a wee bit of self belief because that shows what these players are capable of doing."

The pressure was back on Brendan Rodgers and his side after they fell short when given the opportunity to go back to the top of the Premiership last weekend.

Defeat by Hearts was compounded by the loss of captain Callum McGregor and Cameron Carter-Vickers through injury and their leadership was clearly missing.

Rodgers' side enjoyed their traditional lions' share of possession, but they looked vulnerable at the back before their superior resources off the bench proved the difference and kept them in the hunt to lift the cup for a 42nd time.

David Martindale had bemoaned his need to field a "makeshift" midfield such were Livingston's absences, but he has made his name from making the most of the players at his disposal - and so it was again.

They will be disappointed to exit the cup considering they came close to going ahead at 2-2, but the league remains their priority.

Martindale has found a bit of a gem in Yengi and the big striker could yet be the difference between staying up and going down as the West Lothian side look to show similar battling qualities and clinical finishing in the Premiership run-in.

Some Hibs fans might struggle to remember the last time they watched their side beat Rangers here at Easter Road.

Both teams were in the Championship at the time, nearly eight full years ago in April 2016.

Recent stats don't augur well for Hibs either - just one draw in the last eight meetings, with Rangers winning the other seven, including the last five in a row with an aggregate score of 17-4.

One thing Hibs might look to for encouragement? The last time they faced Rangers in either of the main cup competitions, they won.

The League Cup semi-finals three years ago and, of course, that famous sunny day at Hampden in the 2016 Scottish Cup final.

    Billy Dodds
    Former Rangers striker on Sportsound

I think Rangers realise how big a fixture it is, how well Hibs are playing and the threat they can pose, so they go with the strongest team they can put out at the moment.

Rangers are taking this so seriously, they realise if they don't play to their potential they could go out the cup.

But if they play the way they did against Benfica, they could blow Hibs away.

Despite last weekend's loss to Motherwell, Rangers' form has been so good under Philippe Clement that you have to go back to the end of November to find the last time they went a couple of games without winning.

They'll have travelled back from Portugal energised and encouraged by the draw with Benfica.

And having already won the first trophy of the season, they will fancy their chances of reaching Hampden again against a team they've put seven goals past without conceding so far this season.

Nick Montgomery makes two changes to the Hibs side that defeated Ross County last Saturday.

Chris Cadden makes his long-awaited return to the starting line-up, 288 days on from his last start.

He replaces Lewis Miller as the more defensive-minded Nectarios Triantis comes in for striker Dylan Vente.
