  1. Post update

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

I'm hearing there is no wind, no rain down at Cappielow tonight.

Are we at the right ground? That's not the Cappielow I know...

  2. 'Hearts must bring A-game'

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

    Ryan McGowan

Former Hearts defender on BBC Scotland

Hearts will be under no illusions it's going to be a very difficult game. Morton have been very good at home this season.

You just need to look at Hearts against Spartans earlier on in the competition where they made a lot of hard work of it. They will need to make sure they are on their game if they want to go through.

But, at the same time, Morton will be looking to cause an upset.

  3. 'Morton relish underdog tag'

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

    Jim Duffy

    Ex-Dumbarton manager on BBC Sportsound

    Morton love being underdogs.

They get the sleeves rolled up, they grit their teeth, they go out there and they keep proving themselves time and time again.

When the chips are down, Dougie Imrie knows how to get the most out of his players.

  5. 'We need to relish and enjoy Cappielow crowd' - Naismith

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

Steven Naismith is wary of "dangerous" Morton but believes he has selected the side that will give Hearts the "best chance" of returning to Hampden.

"The way we feel the game is going to go tonight, that is the team we feel will give us the best chance," the Hearts head coach told BBC Scotland.

"Everybody plays their part at times, every game is different. The boys on the pitch tonight are who we expect will get us through the tie.

"Morton will be dangerous. The manager has got them in a place where they understand what they've got to do and how they play. Overall, we expect them to carry a threat.

"I have played here myself, a few of the players have played here when we were in the Championship, so we understand the surroundings and we know what it will be like as a cup tie. Our job is to put them under more pressure than they do to us.

"The crowd make noise for them and make it a good atmosphere and we should relish that and enjoy it. The biggest thing is that we do what we've worked on and what has got us success throughout the season.

"We are a club that has been very close in the last five or six years but have not got to the end point. This is a chance to get back to Hampden and do better than we did earlier in the season."

  6. 'We can win if we apply ourselves correctly' - Imrie

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

Morton manager Dougie Imrie says his side "deserve to be here" and they have "huge belief" given the scalps they've already dealt.

"We are looking forward to the occasion," he tells BBC Scotland.

"We deserve to be here, we had a great result in the last round. What will be will be, but we have to give respect to Hearts, they are a top team.

"We know how difficult a tie it will be, but this is a game my players have to go and showcase their talents.

"I think the players will have huge belief. We have beaten Motherwell, we went to Ibrox and lost narrowly 2-1, we have another Premiership team tonight. We have to give them the respect, but it's a game I think we can win if we apply ourselves correctly.

"We have to give Lawrence Shankland the respect he is due. Hearts are lucky they held on to him in the January window. We have to watch that, but if we just worry about Lawrence, we will lose focus on the other players on the pitch."

  9. Heart breakers 💔

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

Mind folk though Airdrieonians could pull off a cup shock in the last round? Aye, that didn't go down too well with the Gorgie club.

They quickly quashed any suggestion of that, and raced into a 3-0 lead inside 22 minutes at the Excelsior Stadium. They went on to win 4-1, but they really could've racked up a few more if they fancied it.

Steven Naismith's side were given a wee fright by League 2 Spartans, though, and needed a 92nd-minute winner from Frankie Kent to get by.

Ainslie Park was a right tight, jam-packed ground and Cappielow tonight will be the same.

  10. Can Morton claim another top-flight scalp?

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

It's what the Scottish Cup is all about.

With a cacophony of chants coming from the Cowshed, the weather blowing from the River Clyde, and the enchantment of the cup all playing into Morton's hands, they might just be able to make magic once more.

Motherwell were overcome by those elements in the last round and Dougie Imrie hopes Hearts are left in a similar state.

In fact, he's hoping his side can make it "horrible", as they did in the last round. Stuart Kettlewell's side were left "jaded" according to the Morton manager - and he wants to leave the Jambos the same way.

Well were defeated 2-1, with Jack Vale's late consolation the only goal Morton have conceded in the competition so far after defeating Montrose 2-0 and Bo'ness United 4-0.

  12. Post update

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

This beauty of a trophy spent a bit of time down in Greenock last week.

It's not there to stay, yet, though. In fact, it hasn't been in Morton's hands for well over 100 years. The Ton's sole success in the Scottish Cup came waaaay back in 1922. Anyone mind what they were doing back then?

Hearts are a wee bit more familiar with the trophy, though. They've lifted it eight times, the most recent back in 2012. Too long ago for some supporters...

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

Not only are we bringing you all the action as this round draws to a close, we're showcasing the draws for the women's and men's semi-finals too.

Former Scotland goalkeeper Jim Leighton will join Jane Lewis to conduct the women's draw at half-time before doing so for the men's final four after the game.

  14. 'Anything can happen when the crowd are the 12th man'

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

This man will be a miss tonight.

George Oakley scored a scorcher to send Morton through to the quarter-finals, but the star striker, who is having a cracking season, will be watching from the stands tonight as he carries a knock.

"I've been trying my best to get back for tonight, but I just won't make it," he told Good Morning Scotland earlier today. "It's a hard one to take.

"It's a slight tear on the oblique, which is a new one on me, I've never heard of it!

"It's nothing major, so it's only another couple of weeks, but if I come back too early I could be out for the rest of the season.

"This would've been a great fixture to play in. The atmosphere will be great and I'll be there to support the boys tonight. It'll be good to be around the them and spur them on. It's a team game and I want to give them a bit an edge.

"It's a hard venue to come down to. Anything can happen when the crowd are the 12th man."

Talking of strikers, Morton haven't scored in their last three games. Guess who's missed all of them through injury? George Oakley.

  16. Listen: 'Shankland's story so far'

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

Who isn't talking about this guy the now?

Well, for a wee change, it's him doing the talking here.

The Scotland international caught up with Brian McLauchlin for an in-depth interview where he says he "loves" playing for Hearts but has "a lot to consider" when it comes to his future.

It's only a half-hour long, so you've got plenty time to give it a whirl before kick-off.

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

    BBC Scotland at Cappielow

It’s a crisp, cold night in Greenock for the last of the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, with either Morton or Hearts making up the quartet that will be heading to Hampden.

Dougie Imrie is promising the Tynecastle club a difficult evening and is convinced his players have it in their locker to cause another major shock in the tournament.

For Hearts, it's all about continuing the progress made already this season and, on current form, few would say they wont come out on top this evening.

However, this is cup football and anything can happen!

  20. Three changes from cruise against Celtic

    Morton v Hearts (19:45)

Steven Naismith has made three changes from the side that strolled by Celtic at Tynecastle last weekend.

Craig Gordon is back between the sticks, as has been the norm in the Scottish Cup, while Cammy Devlin and Kenneth Vargas - who has two goals in two games in this competition - come in, too.

Zander Clark, Alex Cochrane and Calem Nieuwenhof are the trio to drop out.
