Another performance for the Kieran McKenna tactical masterclass DVD/download.

Soak up the pressure, challenge on the counter.

One of the most frustrated people in Portman Road - the Sheffield Wednesday analyst, thumping the table in front of me a number of times at the Owls couldn’t pick the right final pass.

Meanwhile, Ipswich were straight up the other end making their finishing count.

  2. Goals are comingpublished at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

    Ben Croucher
    BBC Final Score

Choose your item of clothing and if it's still goalless at full-time, I'll eat it.

Really lively start, still unsure how Marcus Forss didn't put Boro ahead when it was easier to score from two yards out. The insult to the hamstring injury that then forced him off.

But for some excellent last-gasp defending Blackburn could be ahead too, so open is this game at times. John Eustace, who made one loan appearance for Middlesbrough in 2003, is getting increasingly exasperated in the Blackburn technical area.

  3. 'I can only see Ipswich getting more goals'published at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    HT: Ipswich 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday

    Chris Turner
Former Sheffield Wednesday manager on BBC Radio Sheffield

When you see players throwing their arms around, the manager has to change the system. They look defeated but they've got to stay together and stop more goals going in. There's too many players looking around, blaming each other.

I think this game's over - unless there's a miracle but I can't see it. I can only see Ipswich getting more goals.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Plymouth 0-1 Preston

Preston edge out Plymouth at the break.

Liam Millar's goal from inside the box gives them the lead at the half-time whistle.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Ipswich 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Ipswich are cruising at the break despite a spirited showing from Sheffield Wednesday.

Omari Hutchinson and Cameron Burgess got the first two goals before Nathan Broadhead added the third right on the stroke of half-time.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Sunderland 0-0 QPR

I wish we had more to say about this one at the Stadium of Light.

But it's been pretty quiet to be honest.

Neither side staking their claim on the match.

But both in need of crucial Championship points.

Let's hope they find their shooting boots after the halftime oranges.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    West Brom 1-0 Bristol City

Not a classic, but ultimately the team who need the points most are ahead.

A fine finish from young West Brom starlet Tom Fellows, on the stroke of half-time, has the Baggies ahead against mid-table Bristol City.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Stoke 0-2 Norwich

    Norwich are cruising.

Stoke look out of sorts and a little lost.

The Canaries continue their playoff push.

Meanwhile, the Potters are still flirting with the Championship's bottom three.

Plenty more football to play though.

  9. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 3-0 Sheffield Wednesdaypublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Nathan Broadhead (45+1 mins)

Ipswich surely have this game all-but wrapped up as Nathan Broadhead gets on the end of a Kieffer Moore cross and makes it 3-0 right on the stroke of half-time.

After a defeat last weekend to Cardiff, Ipswich are making a statement here.

Sheffield Wednesday are going to stay in the bottom three if this ends in a defeat.

  10. 'Lackadaisical Birmingham'published at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    HT: Birmingham 0-1 Watford

    Matt Mitchell
    BBC Radio WM summariser

    I can't believe it.

For all the good work that Birmingham have done in this first half - thrown away in a moment. They've shown that hard-work intensity going forward and it's been taken away from them. They were flat-footed and lackadaisical really.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Birmingham 0-1 Watford

    Birmingham dejectedImage source, Rex Features

Birmingham dominated the first half but trail by a goal after an error in defence just before the break.

As it stands Watford are moving up to 13th in the Championship and Birmingham remain 21st and level on points with Huddersfield in the bottom three.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Blackburn

Middlesbrough and Blackburn have tested each other in the first half but neither have managed to find the net.

Plenty to play for when this one returns.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Rotherham 0-0 Huddersfield

Goalless at the break in this Yorkshire derby.

Rotherham have had more of the chances in front of goal but Huddersfield are keeping them out for the time being.

  14. goal

GOAL: West Brom 1-0 Bristol Citypublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Tom Fellows (45 mins)

West Brom celebrateImage source, Rex Features

West Brom haven't been fully firing this afternoon but that won't matter right now as they take the lead at the Hawthorns right on the strike of half-time.

It's West Brom's first shot on target as they work the ball to Tom Fellows who produces an excellent finish from inside the box to put his side ahead.

A win as it stands keeps them five points ahead of Norwich in fifth.

  15. goal

GOAL: Plymouth 0-1 Prestonpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Liam Millar (43 mins)

    Preston celebrateImage source, Rex Features

    Right before the break!

Preston potentially give their Championship play-off hopes a boost as Liam Millar as he fires home inside the Plymouth box following Will Keane's headed delivery.

As it stands Preston are still five points off the top six, but with how crowded things are in the play-off race, every point helps.

Meanwhile, Plymouth will finish the day only two points above the drop zone if it finishes like this.

  16. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 0-1 Watfordpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Emmanuel Dennis (44 mins)

    Watford scoreImage source, Rex Features

A Birmingham error opens the door for Watford just before half-time.

A Blues throw-in rolls to Emanuel Aiwu on the edge of their own box.

He takes too long on the ball and is robbed by Emmanuel Dennis, who chips over keeper John Ruddy.

Aiwu is being consoled by his team-mates - he is gutted.

Mike Dodds gesticulatesImage source, PA Media

Nothing much in this one so far at the Stadium of Light.

Both sides have had their chances.

Black Cats midfielder Adil Aouchiche had a long range effort deflected wide.

Hoops forward Ilias Chair has probably come the closest, with a pair of shots, just off the mark.

  18. Postpublished at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Rotherham 0-0 Huddersfield

It's certainly shaped up to be a cagey first half in this Yorkshire derby.

Rotherham continuing to outperform their league position as they dominate the chances in the first half against Huddersfield.

A cross is whipped into the box which finds Sebastian Revan but it's a touch too high and he can only volley the ball over the crossbar.

  19. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 2-0 Sheffield Wednesdaypublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March

    Cameron Burgess (37 mins)

    Ipswich celebrateImage source, PA Media

Ipswich double their lead and take control against Sheffield Wednesday!

Cameron Burgess is the man on target for Town, firing in on the rebound to put Ipswich 2-0 up before half-time.

Only downside for the hosts is that winger Wes Burns - who has just been called up to the Wales squad ahead of the Euro 2024 play-offs - hobbled off the pitch injured just after the goal went in.

Remember, Ipswich will go up to second ahead of Leeds, who play tomorrow, if they win today.

Watford's interim boss Tom Cleverley is trying to reinvigorate their underwhelming Championship season.

Watford's interim boss and former Hornets player Tom Cleverley said midweek that he wanted to "change the mindset" of his side with some "high energy" in an attempt to lift the squad after a poor run in the Championship.

His side are holding steady against a feisty Birmingham side at St Andrew's at the moment.
