    Crewe 0-0 Forest Green

A steady opening few minutes between Crewe and Forest Green on an overcast afternoon at the Mornflake Stadium.

Meanwhile, Forest Green are rapidly running out of time to avoid relegation.

    Grimsby 1-1 Bradford

While many of our games are just getting under way, there was late drama in the 13:00 BST game at Blundell Park, where Bradford's Richie Smallwood scored a stoppage-time equaliser from the penalty spot to earn the Bantams a point against Grimsby.

Denver Hume was sent off in the incident which led to the penalty being awarded.

Grimsby had led with a second-half goal from Curtis Thompson. The point takes them four above the relegation zone and they also have a game in hand on second-bottom Sutton, who kick off shortly against Swindon.

  9. Carlisle relegation permutationspublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 1 April

    Carlisle v Lincoln (15:00 BST)

Carlisle's relegation from League One will be confirmed today if any of the following scenarios occur...

    • They lose to Lincoln, plus Cambridge avoid defeat and Burton win.
    • They lose to Lincoln, plus Burton and Port Vale both win (as Vale still have to play Cambridge).
    • They draw with Lincoln, plus Cambridge, Burton and Cheltenham all win (because Burton still have to play Cheltenham).
    • They draw with Lincoln, plus Cambridge draw and Burton, Port Vale and Cheltenham all win (because of the aforementioned Vale-Cambridge and Burton-Cheltenham games still to come).

As you can see, some are pretty complex - so we'll try our best to keep you up to date with the permutations as we go along!

  10. Elsewhere in League One...published at 14:55 British Summer Time 1 April

Just as Peterborough looked to be getting themselves back in the hunt for automatic promotion, their five-game winning sequence in League One was halted by consecutive home losses to leaders Portsmouth and bottom club Carlisle.

Fourth-placed Posh travel to Leyton Orient, who start six points below the play-off places.

Oxford, Stevenage and Blackpool - who are also all hoping to sneak back into the top six in the final month of the campaign - play teams in the bottom half of the table today.

At the bottom, Darren Moore's Port Vale have won each of their past two games to move within one point of safety. They go to Northampton today.

Here's the full list of fixtures (all start at 15:00 BST):

    • Blackpool v Wycombe
    • Bolton v Reading
    • Bristol Rovers v Shrewsbury
    • Burton v Barnsley
    • Cambridge v Wigan
    • Carlisle v Lincoln
    • Charlton v Stevenage
    • Cheltenham v Exeter
    • Leyton Orient v Peterborough
    • Northampton v Port Vale
    • Oxford v Fleetwood

    Carlisle v Lincoln (15:00 BST)

Oh, the joys of spring. Particularly if your name is Joe Taylor and you're riding the crest of a wave with in-form Lincoln City.

The Imps have rattled in 16 goals in their past four games - all victories, unsurprisingly - to climb into the top six, with 21-year-old striker Taylor, on loan from Luton, claiming six of those and Jack Moylan four.

It's quite a turnaround for Lincoln, who were 11 points shy of the play-off places when they most recently experienced defeat, exactly three months ago.

The odds will be long against that changing away to rock-bottom Carlisle, who could be relegated from League One today if results go against them.

Having lost 12 out of their previous 13 games, the Cumbrians have earned four points from their past two outings against play-off contenders Stevenage and Peterborough. But it may be too little, too late. Depending on results elsewhere, their return to League Two could be sealed today.

  12. Brewers hover above relegation zonepublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 1 April

    Burton v Barnsley (15:00 BST)

There's never a good time to lose form, but Burton Albion's wretched run of two points in eight games threatens to tip them into the relegation zone unless they can turn it around against Barnsley.

The Brewers experienced a similar sequence just before Christmas, which cost Dino Maamria the manager's job. His successor Martin Paterson, who was previously Barnsley's assistant boss, now finds himself under pressure to keep them out of the bottom four.

Only a point above the dotted line, Burton have also played more games than the two sides below them and have lost their past five at Pirelli Stadium.

Beaten in last season's play-off final, Barnsley are not completely resigned to another lottery entry this season but - having taken just one point from home games against Cheltenham and Cambridge - can afford no more slip-ups if they are to stay within range of second-placed Derby.

  13. Royals battle to stay up as long-term prospects improvepublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 1 April

    Bolton v Reading (15:00 BST)

Reading's Harvey KnibbsImage source, Getty Images

Could there be good news on the horizon at last for Reading?

The Royals, relegated last year following a points deduction for financial breaches - and hit with similar penalties this season - confirmed last week that a prospective buyer had begun "exclusive negotiations" to take over the club from owner Dai Yongge.

First things first, however, Ruben Selles' side - buoyed by successive wins over Cambridge and Northampton - seek to cement League One safety with another positive result away to Bolton.

By contrast, their third-placed hosts are determined to escape the division - but Wanderers' promotion bid has faltered lately with just two wins in eight games, leaving them clinging to the coat-tails of Portsmouth and Derby.

With the top two locking horns at Fratton Park on Tuesday, Bolton will reduce the gap on Derby to three points if they win. They are undefeated in their past eight home games in the league, triumphing in six of those.

  14. Elsewhere in League Two...published at 14:45 British Summer Time 1 April

The mid-section of the League Two table remains as congested as ever, with only 10 points separating Gillingham in seventh from Accrington in 18th.

The bottom four started Monday adrift of the rest and so it looks like two of Grimsby, Colchester, Sutton and Forest Green will be relegated to the National League.

As mentioned earlier, bottom club Forest Green are away at Crewe today, while Sutton - who are second-bottom - host Swindon and Colchester, a point above the relegation spots, are facing Tranmere.

Here are Monday's League Two fixtures which, apart from the ongoing game at Grimsby, get under way at 15:00 BST:

    • Crewe v Forest Green
    • Grimsby 1-0 Bradford (latest)
    • Harrogate v Gillingham
    • Mansfield P-P Accrington
    • Morecambe v Barrow
    • Newport v Crawley
    • Notts County v MK Dons
    • Stockport v AFC Wimbledon
    • Sutton v Swindon
    • Tranmere v Colchester
    • Walsall v Salford
  15. Grimsby boosting survival prospectspublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 1 April

    Latest: Grimsby 1-0 Bradford

One of our League Two games began at 13:00 BST and there's about eight minutes remaining in the match between Grimsby and Bradford at Blundell Park.

Grimsby, who began the day three points above the relegation zone, are enhancing their survival prospects - they lead 1-0 thanks to a Curtis Thompson goal early in the second half.

  16. Mansfield-Accrington postponedpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 1 April

The League Two game between second-placed Mansfield and Accrington has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Confirmation came from both clubs at about 13:30 BST, with officials deeming that the pitch was unplayable.

  17. Dons look to profit from Magpies' miserable home formpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 1 April

Notts County v MK Dons (15:00 BST)

It’s been a tough watch so far in 2024 for the Meadow Lane crowd, who have witnessed five consecutive home defeats for Notts County and the Magpies tumble down the League Two table.

During their lengthy EFL history, Notts have never lost six in a row on their own turf - and Stuart Maynard's men face a stern test to keep that statistic intact this afternoon against promotion-chasing MK Dons.

To describe the fourth-placed Dons' recent form as inconsistent would be an understatement, although an element of consistency can be found in the scoreline from their past two games.

Thrashed 5-0 at Stockport, they responded by putting five of their own past Walsall on Friday and desperately need to win again to maintain their hopes of reeling in one of the top three in the race for automatic promotion. A win will take them level on points with third-placed Wrexham, who play on Tuesday.

  18. Almost now or never for Forest Greenpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 1 April

Crewe v Forest Green (15:00 BST)

Steve Cotterill stands on the touchlineImage source, Rex Features

A play-off spot seems almost assured for Crewe, but a run of one win in six games has left the Alex needing something really special to clinch one of the three automatic promotion spots in League Two.

Their opponents today are bottom side Forest Green, who have lost their past three matches without scoring a goal and start today four points from safety.

If results do not improve quickly, Rovers' seven-season stay in the EFL will be over by the end of April.

  19. Resurgent Stockport aim to hold onto top spotpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 1 April

Stockport v AFC Wimbledon (15:00 BST)

Stockport's Callum CampsImage source, Rex Features

Back on top of the League Two pile following their February wobble, Stockport's challenge is to stay there as they take on AFC Wimbledon at Edgeley Park.

Having previously gone four games without a win, the Hatters have taken 11 points from their past five outings and have also rediscovered their goal touch, roaring back to first place with a 5-0 thumping of MK Dons and a 3-0 success at Forest Green.

Wimbledon's play-off credentials looked solid a few weeks ago, but they have now slipped down to eighth place after failing to win in their past three outings.

However, they have held their own on the road this season, picking up a win at Notts County and a creditable 1-1 draw against Crewe on their travels in recent weeks.
