Wrexham have come on strongly in the closing stages.

Paul Mullin thought he had reached his 100-goal mark for the club from a corner slung in low from the right-hand side.

But the celebrations of the 2,240 travelling fans were curt short when an assistant’s flag rose for offside!

That’s an individual moment of magic. If you want to sit on the edge of your own box, it leaves you open to shots from distance. And Moxon hit it so well.

    Oh what a belting strike!

Portsmouth needed some quality and Owen Moxon comes up with it.

He receives a pass 25 yards out and spins into space before letting a wicked right-footed strike go and it flies into the top-left corner!

It bent away from the goalkeeper who could only get a fingertip to it.

    His first goal for Pompey.

75% possession for Pompey in this second half but nothing to show for it.

Derby are solid and there's been nothing to break them out of their shape from the hosts.

Derby with a rare foray forward down the right but the cross is just too high for Corey Blackett-Taylor at the far post.

A loose ball down the right and Connor Ogilvie goes sliding in for Portsmouth a little out of control.

It’s gone a little bit scrappy in the last 10 or so minutes. It needs someone to put a foot on the ball and get us back in our rhythm.

    Rob Law
BBC Radio 5 Live sport reporter

It should be 2-0 to Doncaster.

A low cross to Biamou, who stabbed the ball down into the turf, the ball bounced up inside the area and Adelakun should’ve scored on the volley.

    Doncaster 1-0 Wrexham

    Rob Phillips
BBC Wales football correspondent at Eco-Power Stadium

Great chance for Hakeeb Adelakun inside the box but he blazed a golden opportunity wide.

Earlier, Wrexham keeper Arthur Okonkwo had denied experienced defender Richard Wood, getting right behind his effort.

The 2,240 Wrexham fans are not having a great deal to shout about. Doncaster asking most of the questions, though Phil Parkinson has thrown on veteran striker Steven Fletcher and midfielder George Evans.

But how costly could that Adelakun miss prove?

    Rob Phillips

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has wasted no time in making a change with wing-back Luke Bolton replaced by Ryan Barnett down the right-hand side.

The visitors are playing towards the travelling fans now and, sensing the promotion-chasers need help, the volume has increased.

It almost worked as defender Will Boyle headed just wide from close range.

For all that, Wrexham were grateful to see goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo claim the ball from a shot after a goalmouth scramble.

    HT: Portsmouth 1-2 Derby

    Andy Moon
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Portsmouth aren't playing badly, but Derby are a big threat on the counter attack and Portsmouth haven’t dealt with it well.

The difficult conditions are not helping. And there are three men on Kamara when he’s in attacking positions.
