Everton fans feel Darwin Nunez is a rubbish version of former Liverpool striker Andy Carroll - but not in such pleasant terms.

Two attempts on target - both to Everton.

Liverpool are yet to trouble Jordan Pickford.

Now Ibrahima Konate has conceded a free-kick inside Liverpool's half following a push on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

    Man Utd 0-0 Sheff Utd

That was a fabulous run by Alejandro Garnacho. All that was missing was the finish from the Argentina youngster.

I did think he had an opportunity to shoot a stride earlier but he went on and forced an excellent save out of Wed Foderingham.

Garnacho has been one of the stand-out performers at Manchester United this season.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:24 British Summer Time 24 April

    Man Utd 0-0 Sheffield Utd

How are Manchester United not 1-0 up?!

Alejandro Garnacho collects the ball in the area, he's got so much time in the box, but the youngster overthinks it, taking way too long before he gets his shot off.

Blades keeper Wes Foderingham stays big, before making a fine diving save to his left to keep it goalless.

Kyle: Loving this start to the Everton vs Liverpool game. Definitely offside, but Liverpool got lucky. I think had Dominic Calvert-Lewin been on-side the penalty would have stood and it may have been upgraded to a red card. Alisson was well away from the ball!

Thanks Alex. He's quickly back to his feet.

Bruno Guimarães has just gone down awkwardly as he slipped chasing after a ball.

  9. Postpublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 24 April

    Man Utd 0-0 Sheffield Utd

So far Manchester United are looking very sharp.

But we did say that against Coventry, and we all know how that one finished.

Back to the action and Christian Eriksen blasts a shot over.

Hoping Gus Hamer gets a hat-trick and cups his ear to Antony for his old mates at Coventry. - one can dream!

    It's been coming.

Antoine Semenyo sweeps home after another lovely counter.

Wolves have offered glimpses but they are second best as it stands.

  12. Postpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 24 April

    Wolves 0-0 Bournemouth

This is a cracker. How it is still 0-0 is a mystery.

Rayan Aït-Nouri is the latest to have a pop and it's decent. Just wide.

  13. Bruno Fernandes in the warspublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 24 April

    Man Utd 0-0 Sheff Utd

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Bruno Fernandes goes down and gets up slowly, holding the side of his face for a second time.

I think the Manchester United skipper would have stayed there if it wasn't for the fact his team-mates carried on playing, with Alejandro Garnacho eventually having a shot.

  14. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 24 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

    Alex Howell
BBC football news reporter at Selhurst Park

It's been a very positive start from Crystal Palace. They've had most of the ball so far and pinned Newcastle back.

Oliver Glasner just clapped the Jordan Ayew shot that went wide on their last attack.

  15. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 24 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

    That would have been embarrassing!

Jordan Ayew spots Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka not in the middle of his goal and tries a to catch him out with a curler towards the near post....

    Side-netting.

  16. 'Good save from Allison'published at 20:19 British Summer Time 24 April

    Everton 0-0 Liverpool

    Clinton Morrison
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

    Great set-piece from Everton.

James Tarkowski gets ahead of Virgil van Dijk and you want it to fall to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but it's a good save from Allison.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:18 British Summer Time 24 April

    Everton 0-0 Liverpool

Big chance for Dominic Calvert-Lewin whose header is kept out by Alisson.

A big save by the Liverpool keeper after good work by James Tarkowski.

Everton's fans like what they are seeing.

The only thing missing from their team's positive start is a goal.

  18. Postpublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 24 April

    Man Utd 0-0 Sheffield Utd

Alejandro Garnacho has a shot from range that Wes Foderingham easily deals with.

Then Casemiro, who didn't have the best of games on Sunday, does really well to cut out a Sheffield United counter with a crunching sliding tackle.

  19. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 24 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

Crystal Palace are playing the better football as Jean-Philippe Mateta meets an Eberechi Eze cross with a looping header that goes just over.

  20. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 24 April

    Everton 0-0 Liverpool

    Shamoon Hafez
BBC Sport football news reporter at Goodison Park

Chants of "Liverpool we love you" from the visiting supporters are met with jeers.

Everton have made the better start but really need to capitalise by scoring the opening goal.
