Brilliant from Everton, so far so good. But Liverpool look like they're stepping up a gear, let's hope we can stay with them - I fear Young is going to let us down again.

    Man Utd 1-1 Sheffield Utd

Manchester United drive forward, but they're lacking any sort of rhythm as a pass comes in too late for Alejandro Garnacho, and the forward eventually gets a shot off which is far too tame and straight at the keeper.

JMG: I like Darwin Nunez, I really do, but I don't know how long he can survive if he continues to shoot at the keeper like that - patience is running out!

    HT: Everton 1-0 Liverpool

    Clinton Morrison
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Mo Salah's finishing is unreal, but their best finisher is Diogo Jota.

Salah's numbers are unreal and at the minute he is going through a sticky patch which doesn't mean he is a bad player - he is still a world-class footballer.

  13. Everton must regrouppublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 24 April

    HT: Everton 1-0 Liverpool

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Goodison Park

Everton were top class for most of that half and fully deserved their lead but they were hanging on a half-time approached and Liverpool started to create chances.

Too many long, aimless passes allowed Liverpool to regain possession and gather momentum but Everton have that vital advantage.

Nice niche stat for all the Palace fans out there.

The Eagles have stopped the opposition from scoring a first-half goal in 21 of their 34 league games, only Everton (22) and Arsenal (23) have done this more often this season.

Ashley Young is warming up vigorously during the interval. Will Everton make a change at the start of the second half? Vitalii Mykolenko bravely carried on after appearing to roll his ankle but could be replaced for the second half.

  19. Going to plan so farpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 24 April

    HT: Everton 1-0 Liverpool

    Shamoon Hafez
BBC Sport football news reporter at Goodison Park

You need the perfect game when coming up against Liverpool, Crystal Palace managed it a couple of weeks ago and Everton are halfway to doing it too.

The Toffees have pressed and snapped into tackles, with a goal to show for their efforts too.

At the back, Jordan Pickford has made excellent stops to deny Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, but can they keep it going for the second half?
