    Scotland 0-0 Slovakia

Lisa Evans tries to play Kirsty Smith into the box but the pass isn't quite right, they have a corner though.

It's played short and goes all the way back to Nicola Docherty before a lofted ball is punched away by the Slovakian keeper.

  2. Postpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland 0-0 Slovakia

Early bit of pressure from Scotland before Sam Kerr gives away a free-kick just on the edge of the Slovakia box.

They go again though and Fiona Brown's effort is cut out by Kristina Koslkova.

The effort from the resulting corner is almost spilled by the Slovakia keeper.

From a confidence perspective, Scotland need a positive result tonight.

It's massive, 150 caps for Rachel Corsie. She's a real leader and she's had a brilliant career.

Face of the programme and returning to the starting line-up for Scotland tonight after not featuring in Friday’s opening game of the group.

Jenna Clark’s return sees captain Rachel Corsie move to the midfield on her 150th cap.

The Scotland defence was kept rather busy on Friday night, let’s hope it’s quieter for Clark and co tonight, eh?

  6. Postpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

Scotland boss Pedro Martinez Losa tells BBC Alba: "All the players in the national team are looking for an opportunity and we picked the players we felt were in the best position to start the game tonight.

"We were very happy with the performance against Serbia. We want to play our game and give our fans a good result.

"Slovakia is a team that can suffer in transition, suffer in duels if we can increase the tempo of the game.

"Scotland need to play with confidence, the confidence that they can play the best game, win the duels and create chances."

  7. 'Pretty sparse crowd'published at 19:26 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

    Thomas Duncan
    BBC Scotland at Hampden

It's a pretty sparse crowd at a bitterly cold Hampden tonight - it feels like January again!

In all honesty, the attendances at Scotland women's games continues to underwhelm amidst the growth in other nations.

I'm not sure what the solution is, but part of it is qualifying for major tournaments again.

That seems an unfair added pressure on the players, but it's something they have to deal with.

Midfielder Christy Grimshaw also had to withdraw from this campaign after tearing her ACL in her 99th game for AC Milan last weekend.

Fiona Brown spoke about Grimshaw's injury in her press conference yesterday.

"I am just gutted for Christy on a personal level," Brown said.

"It is a huge blow for us and a huge blow to her club.

"The positive side of things is that this type of injury is way too common, but the rehab works, it's a solid process and solid operation.

"I've been through it three times, so I know that for a fact. It is a tough process, but she is surrounded by love and surrounded by support and it's a good club.

"I know personally that that goes a long way. That will be some sort of comfort, although it won't take away the frustration.

"She is a strong willed girl, she is determined and positive - one of the most positive people in the squad.

"I think she will fly through it and she will come back even better."

  10. Spotlight on Corsiepublished at 19:15 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

Captain Rachel Corsie bags her 150th cap tonight but just how important will she be for Pedro Martinez Losa's side?

The Scotland boss was full of praise for his captain in her pre-match press conference the other day.

"Having Rachel reaching 150 is a special achievement from a special player and special character," he said.

"We speak about her level as a player and also as a human and what she represents as a player and for her country so I'm very proud to have her on board, very proud to have her in the team and hopefully we can win the game so she can have a good experience on the pitch."

  11. Martinez Losa scant on MacIver injurypublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

Anyone who watched Friday's clash in Serbia will have seen goalie Sandy MacIver needing to be replaced by Lee Gibson after what looked like a pretty innocuous challenge.

There was no update on the Man City keeper's injury and the Scotland boss refused to give away any more details in his pre-match press conference but admitted she'll be having to undergo some more tests.

Fingers crossed things aren't too bad for the 25-year-old.

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

The stats bode well for Scotland.

The sides have only met twice before but Scotland have come out as winners in both for an aggregate score of 9-0.

    More of the same tonight?

  13. Postpublished at 19:09 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

The Scots are back at Hampden and still in search of their first competitive win since October 2022.

Things ended all square in Serbia on Friday night in what was, arguably, the toughest game of this Euro 2025 group stage.

As it stands, Serbia are top of the group on four points following their win over Israel earlier today. Slovakia are on three points and Scotland are in third with one point.

  14. Pressure on Scotlandpublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

    Thomas Duncan
    BBC Scotland at Hampden

It may only be the second game in this qualifying group, but it feels like a must-win for Scotland.

Not just to get themselves level with Serbia on four points, but also for the mood around the national side.

One win in nine games - against Philippines in the Pinatar Cup - does not make for good reading.

So the pressure is on Pedro Martinez Losa and his players.

  15. Quadruple change for Scotlandpublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 9 April

    Scotland v Slovakia (19:35)

Pedro Martinez Losa makes four changes to the side that started that 0-0 draw in Serbia.

Obviously Sandy MacIver is out so Glasgow City's Lee Gibson starts in goals after being subbed on on Friday night.

Fiona Brown and Jane Ross also come on in Serbia but are in from the start tonight which should add some much needed firepower up top.

Jenna Clark is also in from the start having been an unused sub on Friday.

Chelsea Cornet, Claire Emslie and Lauren Davidson all drop to the bench.
