Rangers are in control, and happy with their lot so far.

Hearts have improved but haven't really laid a glove on them yet, meaning there's not been too much for the large support in maroon to get excited about.

Next goal here is huge, clearly.

The frustrating thing for the Hearts supporters is you can still see signs of Rangers nervousness. They're not at 100%.

They've been the better side, but there's signs they aren't quite at it. Hearts need to be much better.

Hearts go up the other end and win a corner, which Stephen Kingsley meets before Ross McCausland boots away.

Rangers work the following corner short, clip it in and Leon Balogun is free as a bird to head into the arms of Craig Gordon.

The flag's up.

Just like that, Ross McCausland skips to the bye-line and clips in a delightful ball that Craig Gordon can't get near.

Where are the blue shirts? No-one's there!

Wee bit of a lull in the past few minutes after that treatment for Todd Cantwell.

It's taken them nearly half an hour but Hearts are finally settling into the match after a flat, lethargic start.

Beni Baningime and Cammy Devlin are getting their foot on the ball in midfield and slowly exerting some influence.

That said, Rangers have been fairly comfortable so far with their one-goal advantage.

James Tavernier's eyes light up at the edge of the box, but his shot is straight down the throat of Craig Gordon.

Tame shouts for a Rangers penalty as Ross McCausland and Alan Forrest swing for a ball at the same time and catch each other.

Nah, 50/50.

A long period of Rangers possession, and questionable defending from Hearts, ends with Frankie Kent heading away.

The Jambos ain't looking to clever at the back.

It's hard to say if it's a miss or a brilliant save. He's probably offside but Butland isn't to know that.

Moments later, a sliding Frankie Kent, still up from the corner, is denied at point-blank range by Jack Butland.

The Hearts defender was perhaps offside anyway, but it's another massive save from the Rangers keeper.

That's how easily a game can flip.

John Lundstram inexplicably passes straight to Alan Forrest, who drives into the box and forces Jack Butland into a save at his near post.

Kenneth Vargas tries one from miles out and it rolls a fair way off target.

A shot, at least.

The last 10 minutes is how you'd have hoped the first 10 minutes would have gone for Hearts. Tighter, more in Rangers faces, more relaxed and confident on the ball.

The first 10 minutes Hearts weren't there and Rangers took full advantage of it. Now it's a much more even contest.

A disconsolate-looking Abdallah Sima trudges off - yet another injury problem for the Rangers manager.

The Belgian has witnessed plenty of activity in the treatment room in his six months in charge.

A hug from the manager for Sima, who looked bright in the opening minutes.

Hearts are showing signs of settling.

Only issue is they're a goal down by the time they've calmed down.

Twenty on the clock.

Goal number 18 for the season for the much-maligned Cyriel Dessers.
