    And we are under way!

Ferrari are once again testing out the 'halo' device that Kimi Raikkonen had on his car yesterday.

I wonder if Sebastian Vettel will find it more than 'OK'...?

Morning! Ready for the final day of testing?

I shouldn't complain about being able to spend 30 hours this week keeping tabs on all the goings on in Barcelona, but I actually dreamt about testing last night.

Regardless, I'm still excited for the day ahead. You never know what may unfold.

It took a while, but Formula 1 pre-season testing finally came to a nice boil on the penultimate day on Thursday.

After six days of fiddling and fettling, Ferrari finally unleashed their car in as close to qualifying trim as they were prepared to reveal and, lo and behold, Kimi Raikkonen set the fastest time of the winter. Or did he..?

Well, more on that in a moment, but suffice it to say that the best evidence so far is that Ferrari have indeed closed the gap to Mercedes at the front of the field. How much? That won’t be revealed until the first race of the season in two weeks’ time.

In exactly two weeks the buzz and excitement of a new Formula 1 season will be palpable as cars roll out in Melbourne for the first race weekend of 2016.

The tinkering, tweaking, head scratching and back slapping is almost done. Testing is down to its final day - one last chance to gather as much data as possible to ensure teams are all set for the year ahead.

After seven days of testing, Mercedes still haven't truly shown their hand. Will today be the day the lay their cards on the table?

Or will Ferrari build on the promise they showed on Thursday that they could be real challengers for the title this season...
