"It's going to be a very aggressive, abrasive surface tomorrow. The super soft tyre probably isn't going to last very long, you could see them having to pit before lap 10. Rosberg should be able to go twice as long on the soft. Fascinating stuff, that's what Formula 1 is all about."
Fernando Alonso has just done his best Chewbacca impression.
His race engineer has the unenviable job of telling him there is no time to get another lap in after Q2 was red flagged, prompting howls from Alonso of "Gaaarr...Arrgh...Yaaargh."
Something like that anyway....
Wheelie frustrating for Alonso & co, that...
1) Raikkonen 2) Vettel 3) Rosberg 4) Ricciardo 5) Bottas 6) Kvyat 7) Perez 8) Sainz 9) Verstappen 10) Hulkenberg
11) Massa 12) Alonso 13) Button 14) Grosjean 15) Ericsson 16) Nasr
Confirmation that the session won't be restarted.
The session is stopped with 1:17s on the clock, meaning that effectively Q2 over because there is not enough time for anyone to stick a lap in.
Nico Hulkenberg's lost his wheel!
Replays show his front left coming loose before bouncing off into the distance. Hulkenberg swiftly pulls over and ditches in the grass, while the wheel is stopped by a barrier.

"It's going to be the tortoise and the hare tomorrow were going to have the Ferraris on the super softs, followed by Rosberg on the softs."
Kimi Raikkonen goes quickest with 1:36.118 but that was on super softs. He's only 0.122 quicker than Nico Rosberg.
At the other end of the timesheet, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Romain Grosjean, Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr are in danger.
Halfway through Q2 and the Ferraris emerge for the first time in this part of qualifying. They've gone for the super softs.
Just to highlight how quick Mercedes is, Daniel Ricciardo goes second quickest and is half a second slower than Rosberg. That's with the quicker super softs on.

"I was the first guy to speak to Lewis and he is immaculate, he is going round this pen being asked the same question and he is giving everybody the time. That was not the case when he first came into Formula 1!"
Lewis Hamilton looks cool and calm as he goes around the media pen explaining what happened. If he is angry or frustrated about what happened, or worried about tomorrow, he isn't showing it.
A 1:36.240 for Nico Rosberg, with Marcus Ericsson and Felip Nasr clocking 1:40.742 and 1:42.430.

"The pecking order is Mercedes, Ferrari and then everyone else effectively. It is a tight battle and we are going to see some pretty disappointed drivers at the end of this. It is still very damp at those two places under the bridges but there is a dry line emerging so effectively all of the track now is dry."
The first man out for Q2 is Felipe Nasr.
Nico Rosberg then emerges with softs on his Mercedes.
Lewis Hamilton, speaking to BBC Sport: "No-one wants it easy. We are definitely in the mud but we will dig our way out."
