In fact, there was very little between the top four with Nico Rosberg third and Daniel Ricciardo fourth, 0.157s behind Vettel.
In Monaco, however, it's not all about the pace because on these tight and twisty streets, there can be no room for error.

Sebastian Vettel finishes fastest in final practice for the Monaco Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen is back out for the final few seconds. He'd clattered the right side of his Red Bull earlier but some swift repair work has clearly been completed. Good effort.
Kevin Magnussen goes down the escape road at Ste Devote and decides to call it a day. A few issues for Renault in this session.
Four minutes to go. Nico Rosberg improves but stays third. Sebastian Vettel leads from Lewis Hamilton and then Rosberg.
