This is tense! Thrilling racing from Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton as the former makes a move at Mirabeau. Hamilton holds him off and then blocks another attempt by Ricciardo just after the chicane prompting furious hand waving from the Red Bull man.
The virtual safety car ends and we are back racing with 42 laps to go.

The top three (Hamilton, Ricciardo, Perez) are all on different compounds of tyre.
Max Verstappen's crash means we are down to 17 runners in the race. Incident packed!
Lap 34/78
Ah! Max Verstappen has crashed out of the race and it's at Massanet, the exact same place he went off in final practice. He's caught out by a wet patch and cannot prevent his Red Bull tagging the barrier.
That's the second error in as many races from Red Bull for Daniel Ricciardo. He must be fuming but regardless, he's working on making amends right now. He's 0.4s behind Lewis Hamilton.

Very unusual for Red Bull - they are normally very good at that. You can only assume they were expecting Ricciardo to do another lap.
Oh disastrous from Red Bull! A truly shocking error as Daniel Ricciardo comes in for slicks but the pit crew are not ready. They eventually get the super softs on but that has cost him some serious time and Ricciardo emerges just behind Hamilton. His race to lose now!
Now Lewis Hamilton pits, not a slick stop as he puts on ultra softs. Daniel Ricciardo is now the race leader, but should be in the next lap.
Now Sergio Perez and Jenson Button pit and take on softs. Back out in 11th and 12th respectively.
Marcus Ericsson is the first to put for dry tyres. He's pitted and put on ultra softs and is back out in 18th.
