Lap 5/52
Through Becketts - but it lacks the drama we were hoping for. The sun continues to peek out from behind the clouds.
Hamilton wants to race. They all want to race.
Lap 4/52
Lap four and more of the same. The queue of cars slides down the straight into Abbey, splish splashing along.
Yes, Will Stevens and his magnificent hair product are here!
Looking smooth, Will.
Lap 3/52
These laps are slow. Little opportunity to warm up the tyres. It also means some of the cars are getting a tad close to each other.
Hamilton, possibly frustrated, is nudging along the safety car, trying to hurry it along.
More from leader Lewis Hamilton, who says the circuit is drying out: "The track is going to be inters pretty soon, I would say.
"The safety car is really slow so it's not easy to keep temperatures up."
Lap 3/52
Another lap finished... will the safety car stay out? Yes. Hamilton cruising to victory as it stands!

When Lewis Hamilton says the conditions are still not right for racing, you really start to believe it.
Race leader Lewis Hamilton: "Big puddles of aquaplaning still."
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel (11th): "There is quite a bit of standing water on Turn Eight, and also in the Wellington Straight."
Lap 2/52
Spray is everywhere, like a finger held over the end of a garden hose.
The safety car is going to stick with it for another lap at least - I think it's probably needed.

The rain is an opportunity for other teams to take it to Mercedes.
Lap 1/52
It's a very sedate start to the British Grand Prix as the cars file behind the safety car. The track is still pretty wet.

Sebastian Vettel, for the second weekend running, has needed a gearbox change so has a five-place grid penalty - dropping him from sixth to 11th on the grid.
Jenson Button may be starting in a lowly 17th in his 17th British Brand Prix but he thinks he can get into the top 10 by the chequered flag.
"It's a good possibility," he says.
"We start a long way back after the problems yesterday but we'll give it our all here."
Championship leader Nico Rosberg is anticipating a "good battle" with team-mate and occasional dodgem partner Lewis Hamilton.
"With the conditions, you never know what's going to happen," he says.
He's asked if today is important in the context of the championship battle.
"I am not thinking about the championship at the moment. Today is just about winning the race here."
Is he going to "take it" to Lewis Hamiton?
"Take it, for sure, but the end result? Let's see."
