The stands are impressively full in Montreal. Not packed, but for a Friday it is a very good turn out. The locals love their F1, but the beautiful weather will have helped.

Into the final 30 minutes of the session and very much into long run territory. It looks like Lewis Hamilton will finish the day with the fastest time.
Kimi Raikkonen first ultra soft run is a 1:15.234 and he is up to ninth.
My word! Real hair-raising driving from Jenson Button as really pushes the McLaren to its limits and skims along the Wall of Champions. There was contact, but not enough to deny him a lap time that sees him leap into P7.
We've not seen a great deal of Kimi Raikkonen. He's dead last at the moment but he's out now with ultra softs on.
The Wall of Champions almost claims its first victim as Fernando Alonso zips through the final chicane and skirts up against the wall but just about avoids contact.
Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel is pushing and improves to split the Mercedes after a 1:14.469.
Purple tyres are on the Red Bulls now. Can they challenge the Mercedes times? Not quite as Verstappen posts a 1:15.156 to go fourth quickest while Daniel Ricciardo does a 1:15.168 to go P5.
Sebastian Vettel goes third quickest with 1:14.875 but Lewis Hamilton is on another quick lap. In fact he's even quicker than before but brakes too late at the final chicane and is forced into the run off.
We've not seen much from Ferrari so far today but Sebastian Vettel is out with the ultra softs on. Let's see what he can do.
1) Hamilton 2) Rosberg 3) Bottas 4) Verstappen 5) Hulkenberg 6) Sainz 7) Perez 8) Massa 9) Ricciardo 10) Kvyat

"Derek Warwick said in our preview show that the Monaco GP could have been the start of a momentum shift away from Rosberg to Lewis Hamilton and I think we are seeing a continuation of that."
Hammertime! Lewis Hamilton picks up the gauntlet and slams it down as he goes half a second quicker than Nico Rosberg. A long way to go this weekend, of course, but Hamilton looks on it here.
Nico Rosberg's sector times are like his tyres - purple. He's the fastest man on the track and takes his place at the top of the timesheet with 1:14.751. That, though, is only 0.190s quicker than Lewis Hamilton's time, and now comes the world champion with the ultra softs on.
Lewis Hamilton is in the pits but Nico Rosberg is out on the track and is giving the ultra softs a whirl - the first of the front runners to do so.
